“Tamales are not as good as they used to be, but they certainly are more expensive. Be ready to pay $30 plus tax for a dozen tamales. I know that they have to make money, but this seems excessive to me, so I will not be visiting as often. Then again, everything is so very expensive everywhere nowadays. The service is great every time I visit, so I don’t get all the bad reviews about service, maybe Im just always lucky.”

“***Be ware don't order or buy the sweet tamales (pink color with raisins) they are contaminated. I eat one last week, been sick since then***”

“La Casita Tamales. What can I say about the place. First and last time I come to the casita tamales. I'm a huge Tamale fan, but this place made me have a change of heart. I don't tolerate bad attitudes and bad food. The cashier lady was rude, and when I asked about the prices, she didn't acknowledge. I had believed the prices were $16 for a dozen, and she charged $30 dollars for a dozen tamales. I get that places have to make money, but that's kinda of excessive. it's too much for tamales that didn't even taste good and leaves a bad aftertaste. Other places have far better taste, quality, and texture and far better attitudes and charge about $15 to $20 for a dozen tamales. So, in other words, people go somewhere else and spend your good, hard earned money in places that deserve it. Dont regret coming here like I certainly do.”

“Yo he comprado tamales ahí pero últimamente ya están muy secos los tamales y la última vez me salió un gran cabello en el tamal y vomite.ya no pienso comprar ahí”
“I’m actually shocked this place even has any bad reviews. I always have a pleasant experience when I walk into their establishment. I was also born and raised in the city of Chicago and this place is the closest I've found to the authentic tamales sold by the local tamaleras on the streets of Chicago. I also make them myself but it’s a lot of work, so when I am craving some, I come here. 100/10. Side note, they sell out fast so you usually have to get there pretty soon after they open. You can also call ahead and have them hold an order for you. Another side note, if you have never made tamales yourself, you should not comment on the price. It is so time consuming and so much goes into making them. They sell their tamales for $42 a dozen which is like $3.50 a tamal. That is not expensive if you know how much goes into making each one. They forever have my business!”
“This is the best tamale I’ve ever had. Last weekend working a Saturday, some were brought in and I was introduced. Oh my heavens. I had the queso y jalapeño. Never have I had a tamale so complete with masa and filling. So I went back today. To buy for the tool room I work in and production to bring smiles. And I believe it did. Spent a boatload but if I can bring this kind of happiness to my coworkers, it’s all worth it! Spicy pork verde and queso y jalapeño. Don’t hesitate to go early! It will sell out fast. Open at 4a. Top notch and service for a gringo was welcome! And he gave me two rojo pollo to try for free. Frequent this establishment and you’ll be happy!”
“Tamales are one of the most delicious foods ever curated by the Hispanic community. There's all kinds of techniques and flavor profiles for tamales. When it comes to density, seasoning, moistness, and fulfillment these tamales offer an experience that'll leave you reminiscing. People love to spend a lot of money on garbage because quantity trumps quality, but here you're paying for the most Authentic/Delicious tamal in the Chicago area! Being able to taste a memory is difficult, but for those who are native to this cuisine will understand on the first bite. P.S Green Tamal 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Red Tamal 😋😋😋”
“Hands down the best tamales around! The green tamales are my favorite spicy, flavorful, and so delicious. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff is incredibly friendly. 10/10 recommend! I haven’t found tamales this good anywhere else in the Mount Prospect area. Definitely worth a visit!”
