Definitely recommend this place the guacamole was delicious and the chips ohhh my super fresh! Their salsa was nice and spicy they do have a mild one too both were delicious and tasty

A Taste of Mexico in the Heart of Mount Prospect. Hacienda El Sombrero is more than just a restaurant; it's a portal to authentic Mexican cuisine and culture. From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to a vibrant fiesta. The decor, a colorful blend of traditional Mexican motifs, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The star of the show, however, is the food. The pozole verde was absolutely divine! Every spoonful was a flavor explosion, with tender chicken, hominy, and a perfectly balanced broth. And let's not forget the salsa assortment – a fiesta for the taste buds! Each salsa, from mild to fiery, added a unique dimension to the meal. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. If you're craving a truly authentic Mexican meal, Hacienda El Sombrero is the place to be.

Really yummy spot. Great friendly service. Very clean, you can tell they really take pride in their restaurant, such cute decor. My friend picked this spot for lunch and it was great. I had the molcajete fajitas, so delicious!! And even the next day, they tasted amazing. My friend is vegetarian, and what I notice from other spots, this place offered Spinach enchiladas & burritos, instead of just cheese. She really liked them. So that was cool. For you mezcal drinkers, they have it here. I know that is currently not being served everywhere, but this spot has it. I really want to come back and try more dishes. Highly recommend this spot.

Stopped by for a quick meal. Wasn't sure if I was in the right place for that as the place seemed a bit too fancy when I walked in. Was greeted by the bar tender and was offered a table or a seat at the bar. Since I was by myself I chose the bar. Friendly attentive service and the food was delicious. Tried the Chorizo taco dinner with an ice cold Corona. $30 with tip out the door. Not too shabby.

Beautifully decorated sit-in restaurant with excellent welcoming attitude from the staff, reasonably priced Delicious food. Would definitely recommend for casual dinner and/or celebrations of special occasions. Loved the complementary chips & salsa as they tasted freshly made.
