Got food for pick up, the food was okay, much better mexican around.
I thought I had finally found my taco spot at first service was good food was good I was ordering take out for me to have some to eat after work from doing long 16 hour shifts it was very convenient for me since it’s across the street from the bus I have to take 2 Saturdays ago I came order take out I had order tacos and had ask onion and cilantro got home my tacos had tomato sour cream and idk what else I called the lady was nice enough to tell me when you come back we will give you two free tacos I came in today to get my tacos and order more tacos on top of that the cook came to the front and had a attitude I had to ask for me to just get refunded back the tacos that I had paid today And she kept telling the boy to refund me for the other two tacos from two weeks ago also but I refused she was upset and it was their messed up not mine I still came to try and give them another chance her attitude was rude and it’s very unfortunate because the rest of the staff is very nice and friendly but I won’t be coming back.
Was excited to try this place out after reading the reviews.

Chill, cozy atmosphere! Metered street parking, but we had no issue with finding parking on a Friday around 3:30pm. We received complimentary chips (the salsa was AMAZING) and a small bowl of sopa (nothing too special, but nice palette cleanser) to start. The margarita had a good mango flavouring to alcohol ratio. We got the chicken quesadilla, steak tacos (3), and tacos de pescado; everything was flavourful and they weren’t shy with the portions imo. The tacos looked kind of small, but are definitely not to be underestimated cause I was already getting full after one. We had a decent amount of leftovers and everything still tasted just as amazing the next day!

What a delight experience! The food was outstanding and portions were very generous. Everything was fresh and delicious. Drinks were reasonably priced and tasty. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Okay first of all one of the best chips and salsa I have had. Chips were warm and salsa was not too spicy. They serve you a fideo soup that is to die for. We ordered the Al pastor tacos and the chicken quesadillas and they were fantastic. I highly recommend this place.

Went for a birthday dinner with good friends. We were excited to try this new place. It was in our neighborhood and they had a lot of vegetarian options. Before we arrived we weren’t sure if we were going to eat in or take out. But when we arrived it was such a cute place we decided to eat in. The server (who we wish we knew her name ) was so polite and friendly and immediately offered us chips and salsa , water and asked if we wanted anything else to drink. The salsa was FRESH and so good with lots of flavor. We also ordered two appetizers- the guacamole which I HIGHLY recommend - so fresh and so flavorful - one of the best I ever had. The other appetizer was the queso fundido - we asked for it with no meat. It was delicious. Then we ordered each a meal I got the fish tacos and my friends got the steak taco dinner and the cheese tamales. Not much to say except everything was so delicious. Definitely coming back and making this place one of our regular spots. 10/10 highly recommend ! Wish we took more photos but we were to busy eating lol. Pictured is the fish taco plate.

Amazing food, friendly and attentive staff, service was incredible! In the burrito suizo, the steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the free cinnamon hot chocolate is phenomenal, even the rice and beans were done amazingly; one of the best places for Mexican food! Keep it up!

“Finally - a great Mexican restaurant in Portage Park.”
Finally - a great Mexican restaurant in Portage Park! We ordered the guacamole, red salsa (which is served warm!), sopa de fideo, bistec en salsa roja, carne asada tacos, steak fajitas and veggie enchiladas. Everything was prepared fresh (we heard them chopping up the avocado and veggies for the guacamole) and is seasoned well. The service is great and its family owned spot. A new gem in the neighborhood!
