El Rinconcito Sudamerica — peruvian in Portage Park. The decor hasn't changed, and it doesn't need to. The kind of cooking that doesn't need to explain itself. "Above the food being so delicious the customer service was phenomenal" — Ivan D

“I will definitely be coming back as not only is the food amazingly delicious but the service is great”
Paella Lobster was overcooked and there was no meat on it. They only put 4 shrimps and chicken was hard.
This people deserve zero start as review, they do not notify to costumers that this place is close, so I came here with my whole family from far to find out they are close.
Don't plan any special occasion dinner here or risk coming to the dinner and being told your dinner reservations are canceled and also having to deal with an extremely rude owner.

“I celebrated my birthday at this restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience.”
I celebrated my birthday at this restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and the food was delicious. We had the ceviche classic, and it was so full of flavor. The prices are average and the place is very nicely decorated. It’s also very clean. I would highly recommend it!

Delicious locally owned restaurant, that not only gives you fresh to order food but also personable service! I dined with my family and every dish that we ordered blew us away not only in the quality and how perfectly cooked the meats were, but a flavor that I personally found to be indescribably good! The staff is very attentive and obliging, and the owner is cheerfully and personable. It was very much an experience that was worth it not only in the food but also how we were received. I would highly recommend the restaurant as I will be bringing more family and friends back! Thank you to the owner and staff at El Rinconcito Sudamerica! -Sorry, I only have a picture of the desert as we were too busy eating!

I love this place. Their lomo saltado de bistec, their ceviche & the papa a la huancaina always hit the spot for me. Been going here for years I highly recommend! 🤌🏾🔥

“This is by far the best Peruvian restaurant in Illinois.”
This is by far the best Peruvian restaurant in Illinois. Their food is amazing and the presentation too. They also have many Peruvian drinks that other restaurants don’t have. Do yourself a favor and order Queirolo’s plum Brandy. If you go for lunch or dinner lomo saltado. Believe me, you will not regret it.

“Very local place.”
Very local place. Peruvian ex pats go there. Food was reasonable and authentic. Ceviche was the best thing we ate. The rest was tasty but a bit bland. They did have a mustard sauce that was spicy and outstanding.
