“Such a lovely little café in Edgewater! Colombian by La Parrilla offers truly unique Colombian-style coffee — rich, smooth, and full of character. I live nearby and love stopping by for a cup; the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. One of the few coffee spots in the area that’s also dog-friendly, which makes it even better! The owner is incredibly kind and always makes you feel at home. Definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood. ☕🐾”
“Just came here for a latte and was delightfully impressed with the ambiance and vibe at La Parrilla. Great spot to work on the laptop or just people watch. Nice chill tunes playing alongside authentic empanadas & arepas that brought me back to my days backpacking through the beautiful country of Colombia.”
“Just to be clear, this review is for the café portion next to the Colombian restaurant and not the restaurant itself. The food and the staff there were genuinely great and super kind, and this has nothing to do with them. That said, I had a pretty disappointing experience after ordering a matcha latte (pictured). If you’re someone who actually knows what matcha is supposed to look and taste like, I’d be very cautious ordering it here. My partner’s iced latte was better, so I figured that would’ve been a safer choice. When I went back about the matcha, I asked if I could switch to a regular iced latte instead. The barista was rude about it, not very accommodating, and the replacement drink was quickly thrown together using brewed coffee instead of espresso unlike what others were getting. Overall, I really want to emphasize again that the restaurant food and service were excellent, but I personally wouldn’t recommend the café.”
