Parson's Chicken & Fish (Lincoln Park)

4.4997 reviews ·Opens at 11AM

Parson’s Chicken & Fish stands out for craveable fried chicken, fried fish, crispy fries, nuggets, and chicken sandwiches, plus quality garlic mayo and a spacious patio that’s ideal for summer hangouts or large groups. Regulars praise the fun atmosphere, friendly servers, and drinks, though reviews warn of sparse portions, inconsistent sandwich and coleslaw quality, and slow bar or delivery service during busy periods.

I’ve been here twice and the second time was very good. Despite only having the fries and chicken sandwich, I would like to come back to try more of Parsons chicken. Great service, quality garlic mayo, and a nice big patio for people to enjoy a nice Chicago summer day.

I like coming here. For a little treat on my own. Today I didn’t think my experience was that great. I ordered a chicken sandwich and there was barely any chicken on it. Coleslaw was mediocre. Wine so small!! $40 with a 2.5% employee fund and then expect a big tip. I gave 20% and the server looked disgusted!!! I wasn’t even there an hour. I don’t like this attitude. I didn’t complain about the chicken portion. But thought after this whole experience wasn’t good. There were other things but these were the main issues.

Pretty decent chicken (though the helpings are insanely sparse, don't come here if you're actually hungry), awful service (servers were actively rude and unhelpful), and an ok atmosphere if you like being inside warehouses

20-30 minutes to get drinks because there “is only one bartender” according to our server. Place was full on a Thursday night in the summer but that is not an excuse for such poor service. This is a big city with dozens of places just like this. Y’all need to be quicker. Won’t be back.

People answering the phones are useless. When inquiring about a delivery order that was more than an hour and a half out on a. Friday afternoon the person answering the phone said they couldn’t tell if the order had left their kitchen because it came thru a delivery app. I own three restaurants and can tell you this is not true. Sad. Never again

My friend and I ordered the chicken sandwiches with coleslaw. The sandwich buns were rock hard and nearly impossible to chew—they tasted extremely stale. The coleslaw was warm, mushy, overly sour, and watery. We would have mentioned it to our waitress, but the service was poor, so we didn’t want to stay any longer. We also ordered drinks, but the bartenders were rude and dismissive. The customer service overall was disappointing. The food was bland, low quality, and not worth the price.
