EUROASIA RESTAURANT — high-caliber halal in Old Town. The recipes feel handed down, not invented. The welcome here is real, and owner-operated. Mohammed Rashid: "The Plov was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked" [$$]

★★★★★ Author's Review | Euroasia Chicago ❤️🤍💙 Presented by The Great America Tour™ Some meals nourish more than the body—they connect us to history. The Battle of Talas (751 AD) was one of history's defining crossroads. Fought between the Tang Dynasty and the Abbasid Caliphate, it accelerated the exchange of ideas, technologies, commerce, and culture across the Silk Road. Among its enduring legacies was the spread of papermaking westward, helping shape the Islamic Golden Age, the European Renaissance, and the global knowledge economy. Today, the countries of Central Asia are once again becoming strategic connectors between East and West, investing in transportation, energy, logistics, critical minerals, tourism, and digital infrastructure. For the United States, this creates opportunities to deepen partnerships through trade, investment, entrepreneurship, education, and people-to-people exchange while strengthening resilient global supply chains. That living history is served at Euroasia Chicago. The Lagman features hand-pulled noodles, tender beef, garlic, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and fragrant herbs in a rich, savory broth, while vibrant emerald Tarhun (tarragon soda) from Georgia 🇬🇪 offers a refreshing herbal sweetness. The aromas of slow-braised beef and spices, the silky noodles, colorful vegetables, lively fizz, sizzling kitchen, clinking glasses, and warm conversations create an experience that feels both timeless and uniquely American—a nation where cultures from around the world meet at one table. The highlight of my visit came when our wonderful server shared that she is from Talas, Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬. When I told her her hometown is written into my novel, Great Awakening, her face lit up with excitement, and she immediately said she was going to get a copy. That genuine heart-to-heart conversation reminded me that the future isn't built only through technology or trade agreements—it is built through authentic human relationships. While this is a sponsored review—in a sense based on the young’s woman’s excitement to buy a copy of Great Awakening—this is a genuine endorsement of the restaurant as a taste of the fast growing region as a glimpse into the future envisioned by The Great America Tour™—where commerce begins with conversation, cultural curiosity becomes economic opportunity, and shared meals become the foundation for lasting partnerships. The next Silk Road will be measured not only in goods that cross borders, but in trust, innovation, and friendships that span continents. ★★★★★ Author Rating. A must-visit destination when you're in Chicago. ❤️🤍💙 Drew Wade ✍️📖 Search "Great Awakening" on Walmart.com. #GreatAmericaTour #GreatAwakening #EuroasiaChicago #BattleOfTalas #SilkRoad #ChicagoEats #CentralAsianCuisine #America250 #GlobalTrade #CulturalExchange

This place deserves more than 5 stars! From the moment we walked in, everything was exceptional. The food was fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious—every dish was packed with flavor, and the portions were generous. A special thank you to our waitress, Alyana, who made the experience even better. She was incredibly welcoming, attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Outstanding customer service like hers is hard to find. The atmosphere was warm, clean, and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends and family. If you’re looking for authentic Central Asian cuisine with amazing hospitality, this is the place to be. We’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend asking for Alyana if you get the chance. She truly made our visit memorable! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✨⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟🌟✨⭐️⭐️⭐️☄️🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 N#1 so far in Chicago downtown

Loved the food here! We tried the potatoes with mushrooms, Kuurdak with Beef and Frikase with Chicken - everything had such a comforting, homelike taste. The flavors were rich, fresh and really satisfying. A cozy place with delicious food and a warm feeling. Definitely recommend trying this place!

Amazing food and welcoming vibes! Eurasia Restaurant is a true gem in Chicago. Everything we tried was delicious, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the Azerbaijani owner, Rustam, welcomes everyone like an old friend — you instantly feel at home. A unique bonus is that you can play chess or backgammon while you’re there, which makes the experience even more special. Highly recommend for great food, great people, and a relaxed, authentic atmosphere!

Visited the restaurant on weekend for lunch and there was no line. I tried the Airan (cold savory yogurt), Borsh (Borscht soup), and Kuurdak with beef, and all of them were delicious and authentic, with satisfying portions. Welcome bread was available while waiting for order to be prepared. The restaurant was relatively quiet which make it easy to have conversation. The walls have nice decorations. The staff were friendly and helpful.
