“Easily the softest pizza I've ever eaten, miles better than Paisans.”

“Delicious, homemade pasta with SO MANY options! I wish we saved room for dessert, but there were so many options, it would be worth a trip back just for that. We enjoyed our patio seat and the open air.”

“One of my favorites places to stop while in Chicago. FAST service, excellent food”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pompei is one of those classic Chicago restaurants that never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices are fair for the quality you get. Everything tastes fresh and homemade, and you can tell they've been doing things the right way for years. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and efficient. Whether you're stopping in for pizza, pasta, or one of their sandwiches, it's hard to go wrong. If you're looking for great Italian comfort food in Chicago, Pompei is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!”

“Pompei continues to deliver the classic experience that has kept people coming back for years. The food is consistently excellent, always fresh, flavorful, and prepared just right. Whether you're a longtime customer or visiting for the first time, you can count on a quality meal every time. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Ordering is simple at the counter, and the food is brought directly to your table, making service both quick and convenient. While it is unfortunate that some of the North Side and downtown locations have closed over the years, this location still does a fantastic job of carrying on the tradition. Great food, fast service, and a warm atmosphere make this a place I am always happy to visit.”

“Great Italian food. Meatball sub with mozzarella and pizza were on point. Tiramisu was authentic. I did a review on my YouTube channel "Mailman Nick"”

“Pompei offers a great variety of pizzas, sandwiches, salads and daily specials. The soup of the day was awesome — and the “small” portion was anything but small! The steak sandwich was equally delicious and full of flavor. You place your order at the bar, and they bring everything to your table, making the experience quick yet comfortable. A solid spot for a casual and satisfying meal.”

“I had the Baked Penne Pasta (with extra mozzarella cheese) & it was delicious! I had enough for leftovers; would definitely order it again!”

“Been coming to this spot for years. Great for quick, but filling italian eats. It can be a little pricy for a lunch spot but, especially when going with family but still a good place. The OG Combo Pizza is a must try. The pizza slice comes loaded with hints of spice and is served with a cup of rich jus for dipping”

“I went to college in the area. Then worked for the University for years afterwards. I started eating Pompei pizza when they were on Loomis st. Always been a favorite. Haven't been here in awhile, so we decided to have lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. Parking spot was ava in rear, atmosphere and helpful service great, from ordering to having the food delivered to our table. Ordered the small chopped chicken salad and a slice of pizza. Salad was good, not great. Maybe a cup of greens, some chopped squares of chicken and other vegs. It was a little heavy w tomatoes for both our liking. Could've had more greens. I give it a 6 of 10. The accompanying Italian sliced bread basket was soft bread. Definitely not the traditional crusty Italian bread. No olive oil. It was a fail!. So, $14 for a small underwhelming salad and $5 for a slice of pizza was high. Could it be the price of inflation. IDK. This was some vegs and maybe a half of chicken breast. All that aside, We love Pompei and the family. Always wish them well. Please stay true to the quality of the food.”
