“Review written for myself reading reviews: Are you looking for a good place to spend 2+ hours eating multiple courses for a family reunion / birthday / special night”
I was really excited to try this place but it was disappointing to say the least. Our waiter was rude.
I got food poisoning.

“Such a GREAT experience.”
Such a GREAT experience! My wife and I were visiting Little Italy and after reading the reviews, I could see that Tuscany was the place to go. The staff were amazing and really welcoming and fun to interact. The food is absolutely incredible! I had read in the reviews to not skip desert, and so we ordered the Tiramisu and their chocolate moues cake, plus a cappuccino and latte. It was one of the best desserts my wife and I have had in a long time. While we dined indoors, we saw that the outdoor patio was really fun. Definitely coming back on our next trip to Chicago, Tuscany in Little Italy Chicago is amazing!

Review written for myself reading reviews: Are you looking for a good place to spend 2+ hours eating multiple courses for a family reunion / birthday / special night? This will serve you well. Food: top notch, but not distractingly good Portions: generous, but not worth talking about. (Everyone left full) Variety of food options: everything you'd hope for plus a little extra Service: professional, well executed, but also understated. No pressure to turn tables, or insert themselves in our evening.

“1st Visit - Tuscany Restaurant on Taylor, in Chicago's Little Italy, offers exceptional service...”
1st Visit - Tuscany Restaurant on Taylor, in Chicago's Little Italy, offers exceptional service with delectable authentic Italian cuisine. They provide white linen service at a moderate price. I enjoyed Calamari as my appetizer, Zuppa, Mixed Green Salad, Red Wine Fettuccine and Chocolate Gelato. I even had the opportunity to taste my sister's delicious Raviolacci Toscani. This restaurant is definitely worth visiting for those who love authentic Italian cuisine. You'll be in Foodie heaven. 2nd Visit - I decided on the Insalata Pera with arugula, pickled red onions, gorgonzola, candied walnuts, dates, balsamic vinaigrette AND an entree of Raviolacci Toscani, consisting of homemade ravioli filled with short ribs, parmigiano, fontina, porcini mushroom cream sauce. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!

“Tuscany on Taylor has some fire food.”
Tuscany on Taylor has some fire food! I enjoyed everything I ate. We also got there a little bit before the dinner rush came. That was a good thing because I looked up and the place was packed! The service was immaculate and all of the wait staff that helped us were very attentive. I would definitely eat here again. If you haven't, what are you waiting for? Also don't mind the cake pic. I couldn't help but take a bite before I took a pic lol.

We had a great experience with my wife and special needs son. It was his birthday and the server and staff were very friendly and made the time special for him. They brought a piece of cake with a candle and sang to him. The food was delicious and was served promptly. We would eat here again .

“A few years have passed since I visited Tuscany on Taylor.”
A few years have passed since I visited Tuscany on Taylor. It’s the same busy place I remember. The crowded space cozily hosts groups happily chatting away while enjoying their drinks and food. You almost feel like you’re in a trattoria in Italy. The wait staff is incredibly attentive and professional! The garlic, olive oil, and parmesan paste that is mashed tableside for dipping your bread is absolutely spectacular. Everything we ate was delicious, minus the olives on the charcuterie board, which lacked any flavor and were soft. That was a bit disappointing. Overall, though, Tuscany is a gem, which explains why it’s still busy after all these years in business!

“At Tuscany, my recent dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.”
At Tuscany, my recent dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Despite a packed Saturday night, my 5:30 pm reservation ensured a prompt seating. The restaurant exudes a vibrant, neighborhood charm, drawing patrons from across Chicago. I opted for the roasted lamb mare, complemented by a side of mussels. We also got seafood spaghetti. The meal commenced with a delightful surprise—a complimentary bread basket served with freshly crushed garlic in olive oil. The aromatic blend accentuated the already delicious bread, setting the tone for the culinary journey. The mussels were impeccably fresh, and the roasted lamb mare showcased expert cooking. The pièce de résistance was the spaghetti entree, featuring calamari, mussels, clams, and shrimp in a rich marinara. What stood out was the abundance of seafood—a generous inclusion that exceeded expectations. The attention table service added to overall professionalism.

“What an amazing experience.”
What an amazing experience! 🌟 I was treated to top-notch customer service at this gem of an Italian spot. From the moment we walked in, the staff was attentive and friendly. Now, onto the food adventure! I started with the Minestrone Soup, which was hearty and flavorful. My only wish was that it arrived a tad hotter, but that didn't spoil the fun. If you like it piping hot, don't hesitate to mention it when you order. Next up was the Spaghetti Frutti Di Mar, and oh boy, it was a seafood lover's dream come true! Picture spaghetti adorned with mussels, shrimp, and calamari – a true delight for the taste buds. But here's the best part – when they brought out the bread with garlic, I couldn't resist asking how to tackle it. The secret? Sprinkle Parmesan over the garlic, add a drizzle of olive oil, and use your fork to mash it all together. Voilà, instant garlic spread for your bread! Loved that touch. We dined al fresco, and it was nothing short of blissful. The weather was perfect, and even the chef himself made rounds to ensure everyone was relishing their meals. And let's not forget the generous portions – you'll likely be packing up some delicious leftovers for lunch the next day. In short, if you crave authentic Italian food, exceptional service, and a relaxed ambiance, this place is a must-visit. I know I'll be back after a long workday for another delightful Italian feast! 🍝🦐🍷 I’m not good at remembering to take photos but I did take one.
