Piacere Mio Italian Restaurant — Forest Park italian that sets the standard. The setting makes it easy to linger. Cocktail menu runs deeper than expected. "The prosciutto is freshly sliced, the burrata was rich and creamy they present it with grilled slices of bread" — Gina C.

“The medallions of beef filet were served perfectly cooked on a bed of homemade mashed potatoes sitting on a rich, dark, delicious sauce”
Horrible service. We came in last night for a date night with my husband and were completely ignored.

“Everything was outstanding.”
Everything was outstanding! We started with the mussels and octopus which were both delicious. The gnocchi was soooo good! We also tried the short ribs with saffron risotto which was fantastic. But I highly recommend the tiramisu. Can’t wait to come back!

“This is hands down the best experience in the Chicago area.”
This is hands down the best experience in the Chicago area. It’s not just about the food or the ambiance—it’s the whole package. Chef Jose delivers an exceptional culinary experience, while Paco’s kindness and professionalism at the table make you feel like you’ve found your Italian home in Chicago. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. Cheers!

“Cute Italian spot in the Forest Park area.”
Cute Italian spot in the Forest Park area. Small and was busy for a Wednesday night [probably for the free dessert special] Everything was delicious and you can tell the quality is homemade. I can't wait to go there again!

“Easily one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to visit.”
Easily one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to visit. The service person was full of good information about the place and we arrived for lunch but were offered the dinner menu as well. The medallions of beef filet were served perfectly cooked on a bed of homemade mashed potatoes sitting on a rich, dark, delicious sauce. The asparagus with asparagus was okay. I mean, what can you do to asparagus? The tuna that was seared was absolutely fabulous. And both of the pastas were homemade and the sauces were luscious and the service again was great. They give you four starters, a little bucket of focaccia and some homemade chickpea hummus. It's not really hummus, but that's what they called it so we would know what it was. It was very good. It was an amusement, I guess you would call it. The beet salad was unusual because the beets were sliced so thin and very sweet because they were oven roasted and the goat cheese ball was coated with panko crumbs and deep fried for less than thirty seconds. I had mentioned that it was going to be our birthday celebrations for myself and my daughter-in-law and as the meal ended we were waiting for the dessert menu but instead the The server who I think really was a co-owner, brought us some delicious desserts with a little candle on each one. One of them was a creme brulee which looked nothing like your normal creme brulee and I would suggest that if you go there, you try this and a banana type flan which I can't describe other than it was light as a feather and slightly banana flavor. The plate was also covered with a bridge type saws that you may have been butterscotch and blueberries.

“Delicious Italian food and amazing service.”
Delicious Italian food and amazing service! We ate here last night, and sat in the back of the restaurant, which was a lot more quiet and cooler than the front. The restaurant was pretty packed overall, and for good reason. The host was very nice. Our server was very attentive and accommodating, and asked the chef if they could make my dish gluten free because I have celiac disease, and they did. My partner and I loved our dinners. The dessert was to die for! I highly recommend the banana flan with caramel sauce. Overall, it was a great experience.
