I used to live in NYC and me and the misses been to most the kyuramen over there in Flushing queens and the one in Long Island City, after visiting those places over there we determined to try this one hoping itll be just as good and boy did they deliver. The tonkotsu ramen with black garlic and the Amazon lemonade was just as good , especially the bao bao bun

This was my first time eating at Kyuramen, and I loved the Japanese aesthetic—it instantly reminded me of my travels to Japan. The closed-off group seating was perfect for myself and my friends, creating a cozy, private atmosphere. I ordered the chicken ramen, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was flavorful and easily the highlight of the dish. While most ramen I’ve had at restaurants tends to taste the same, this one stood out, and the chicken was definitely my favorite part.

This place serves ramen incredibly fast, and the service is always great. The food is absolutely delicious. I’ve already been here five times, which is unusual for me—I normally don’t visit the same restaurant more than once or twice. But here, I want to try everything on the menu! I’ve already tried every type of ramen they offer, and I can honestly recommend them all - they’re all full of flavor. I also really appreciate their private seating areas with curtains that give you a bit of space and privacy from other guests. Highly recommend this spot if you’re a ramen lover!

We went to Kyuramen on a Sunday night, and even though the place was packed, we only waited less than 15 minutes before we were seated, super efficient! We ordered the classic omurice: my husband and brother-in-law had it with curry sauce, and I got mine with demi-glace (I’m not a fan of the curry smell). But surprisingly, I actually liked the curry sauce better! The demi-glace was a bit too overwhelming for me, while the curry had a really nice flavor that wasn’t too strong. We also tried the pan-fried chicken gyoza, loved how crispy they were! The chicken karaage was tasty too, along with the rest of the appetizers. Everything we ordered was satisfying and delicious. The vibe inside definitely gives you a touch of the experience in Japan, which made it even more enjoyable. We were very satisfied with our orders and the atmosphere. We’ll definitely be visiting their Chicago location next time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food and a cozy Japanese vibe! 🍛🥟🍚

This restaurant is very good! Service is fast, food is great and I like the privacy. I would love to go back again. The food is worth the price for a combo. No picture for matcha pudding because I ate it all before I remember to take pictures. I ate everything and left no crumbs! You all should try!

This is the first time I leave a review but definitely not the first time I come to the oak park location of this restaurant. The service and food are wonderful. I ate in a private booth with my girlfriend and I feel I had my privacy well kept without people consistently barging in. It was packed at the time I went so I know they were everywhere to attend everyone. Food is amazing, and the price in my opinion is good. I paid 15.99 for my bowl and it was so very flavorful as always. This time that I went, my ramen was served to me shortly after I was given my appetizer which to me didn’t bother me as I ate both simultaneously. A group who was there the same time as I was there, stated they were given their meal way too quickly after being given their appetizer and how it didn’t give them time to enjoy their appetizer while their ramen got cold. I can assure I spend plenty of time at this restaurant and converse quite a lot, my ramen does not get cold in the manner the review was explaining it. I was sitting next to the group who left the review and I can confirm they were bratty and rude to the waiter. The waiter did their best to satisfy the customer but the group/individual of that group was very sarcastic and rude with their tone. Perhaps service can be bumpy at times because of high traffic and demand, but overall, I will always recommend to a friend and family member. And btw, please try their amazing lemonade!!!

“Had such a fun time here.”

Had such a fun time here. For starters we were seated in a private booth which was a really nice change of pace. The food was excellent, with the chicken karaage being our favorite. Really love the sauce it comes with! The omurice was delicious and fun but for $20 I’m not sure it’s fully worth it. The ramen was pretty solid, I had the spicy tonkatsu and enjoyed it. I would absolutely come back again.
