“The curry puffs were also very authentic: the pastry was very flaky and the potato and chicken stuffing was perfectly flavored”
Ordered takeout and it was ready on time - the restaurant's appearance was very nice.
I was at the restaurant yesterday. We were the only Black people in the restaurant. The server was slow and deliberate.
The claimed they are authentic, the taste of Tom Yom should be light sour salty savory and refreshing yet it a sweet broth.

Wow! These dishes were presented well and were so delicious. Loved the Thai tea! The only thing wrong was I don’t live nearby in order to come back! I’ll find a way though.

Excellent! I will be back ASAP. Got the crab Rangoon and khao soi. That khao soi is a must if you love spice and bold flavors. It's kind of like a mix between curry and soup. The pickled veggies and red onion were a nice touch.

“Another new favorite.”
Another new favorite. The place has a very nice appearance and atmosphere. The menu has many choices. I had the Khao soil and it was delicious. Wife had the Grilled Pork over rice. The pork belly was the perfect crisp and not dry. We look forward to returning again.

“1 of my favorite Thai places in the neighborhood.”
1 of my favorite Thai places in the neighborhood. I have never had a bad meal here but the best part of this place are the welcoming staff and comfy atmosphere. Look at this place during Christmas time. It’s too cute.

“Quick update: Still great food.”
Quick update: Still great food. Khao Soi is still amazingly flavourful and spicy. The Crab Rangoon is fried well, to a nice crisp. Drinks are delicious but take time to make. Mango sticky rice is great. Original Review: Long story, short: so delicious and fresh, I can't wait to go back. Long story, long: the eldest decided we should have Thai food the first night the youngest was gone. I thought I'd search for something like the first Thai I had in Chicago (Rosded) which was so amazing. When I saw Habrea on the Google Map, I remembered reading about it in an article a couple years ago. Based on that, I dragged the 2 of us out in the severe rain and foraged for dinner. As we walked in, I got the sense that this was a family owned place that really cares about their business. Everything was tastefully decorated and very clean. On to the food! We started out with chive dumplings. Very interesting, which I will say about everything that we ate. I liked it, but the texture was not loved by my companion. Besides the texture, the flavor was fresh and the sauce served with it was a nice balance of sweetness and heat. For the main course, I had the Khao Soi. The flavors in this were simply amazing. I don't remember the last time that a meal seemed completely new to me. I've eaten some amazing dishes and this one is definitely in the top 5 for sure. The kid had fried rice. It presented well, and I was told it was amazingly good. We then shared 2 desserts, the egg custard and the pudding. Both were good, but the pudding we really loved as it was again something we'd never tasted before. The two complaints I have are, the Sake wasn't hot enough, and the meal ended. Not bad for foraging during a flood warning.

“It was a fantastic experience.”
It was a fantastic experience! The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The food has an authentic Thai taste, just like you’d find in Thailand. I loved the curry it was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for genuine Thai cuisine in Oak Park area!

“The food was absolutely amazing.”
The food was absolutely amazing. They had unique dishes in addition to the regular things you'd expect in a Thai menu. The curry puff was delicious--so good my dining companion took an order to go. The Khao soi was flavorful and also delicious. Ending with the egg tart, which was silky smooth with a flaky crust. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Decor was very nice. The place did have a weird smell when I walked in. I'll def be back!

“I continue to enjoy Habrae with friends and our whole family.”
I continue to enjoy Habrae with friends and our whole family! They have added some wide rice noodle dishes that our kids love and we love the depth of flavors on the other dishes that you don’t find at your regular Thai place. These wings for example are a special right now and I’m lobbying to have these permanently on the menu! From 2022: The food and service are both great!

“This is my new favorite THAI place.”
This is my new favorite THAI place. I will forever miss the drunken stops at The Skrine Chops from my heyday, but after a few more trips here I forget they ever were there. Food was fantastic, service was good, great atmosphere after getting over the nostalgia of Skrine Chops
