“The Pittsfield Cafe is a hidden breakfast and lunch gem inside the lobby of 55 E Washington. It is a perfect diner-style restaurant inside a historical building. The food was solid and we had excellent service. This is the best resource for breakfast in the area in my opinion.”

“Excellent old fashion diner. Usual menu. Nice portions, fairly quick service.”

“Had a great little breakfast here. The food was reasonably priced and very tasty (my BEC on croissant was only $8!) and our server was very kind and attentive. It was not busy at all when we were there and had no trouble getting a table in the atrium, although it was around 10am on a Tuesday. The atrium itself was very peaceful and nice to sit in, especially if you enjoy a historic feel. The bathrooms downstairs were a little unkept, but it wasn't a big deal and I would assume that's the building's responsibility, not the cafe's.”

“After discovering this gem tucked away in the lobby off Wabash and Washington, we dined here early on a Tuesday morning. My husband enjoyed the house-made corned beef hash- no canned stuff here! (However, quite a few green peppers 🫑 so if you’re like me and don’t like those, you may want to pass on the corned beef or order without). I gobbled down Le croissant, a delicious breakfast sandwich with the most delicious onion jam!”

“Lure Ball Bites Pittsfield Cafe feels like one of those classic city diners where Trainers gather before setting off on the next leg of their journey. The combination of old-school music, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly faces creates a comfortable hometown vibe right in the middle of a bustling urban Route. From the moment we sat down, the customer service stats were impressive, with smiles, politeness, and attentive service throughout the visit. I arrived craving a hearty breakfast and chose the Santa Fe Skillet with wheat toast. The skillet delivered the kind of reliable Attack power you want from a breakfast move set, while the toast provided steady support on the side. Nothing felt overcomplicated. Just a well-executed meal that restored plenty of HP before the day’s adventures. The waitress was pleasant, the atmosphere was inviting, and the overall experience felt like a dependable Pokémon Center stop. If you’re in the area looking for a strong breakfast option, Pittsfield Cafe is definitely worth adding to your route.”

“We had Pittsfield Cafe for breakfast and it was delightful! I had the Banana Bread French Toast and it was fantastic. The service was great and the atmosphere was that of an old school diner. There was still construction happening on the outside as of May 2026 , but the stop is worth it!”

“Old style diner with counter seating or tables; solid breakfast options, large portions too!”

“I’ve lived downtown for nearly a decade, and have passed this building countless times. It wasn’t until today I found myself wanting some breakfast and stumbled upon Pittsfield’s sign out front, and decided to try. It was amazing! It was like be transported into another city in a different time. Along with the wonderful atmosphere, the staff were incredibly nice and the food was really well made diner style food. Looking forward to my next excuse for breakfast out!”

“¡Me encantó! Pedimos la Hamburguesa clásica con queso, la sirven muy completa, las papas fritas muy ricas, porción grande. Te dan agua de cortesía las veces que quieras. El lugar está muy céntrico, agradable para desayunar, costo medio alto. El tiempo de atención fue rápido quizá porque era temprano (11:00am), pero aún asi estaba lleno de comensales. ¡La atención del personal fue muy grata!”

“We finally checked out Pittsfield Cafe. I’d heard about it a few times but always forgot, mostly because I'd never just stumble onto this place, it’s tucked inside the building in a way that you kinda have to know it’s there. Total hidden gem. The whole “outdoor seating but indoors” thing is pretty cool. Feels real old-school, like a little golden-era corner that somehow survived. It was packed, but we still got seated right away, and the staff was super welcoming. I ordered the French toast combo. Two sunny-side-up eggs, two big sausage links, and two thick slices of French toast. I thought it would be just a normal breakfast, nothing crazy, but man… those sausage links stole the show. Juicy, smoky, honestly the best I’ve ever had. Mixing that with the eggs and the French toast just hit the spot. Perfect way to start a Saturday morning.”

“Good food for the price and location is pretty cool. It is inside a semi-abandoned hotel lobby and it has a really cool chandelier.”

“Breakfast at The Pittsfield Cafe is a very good choice — a genuine pleasure to stumble upon. Solid, no-fuss fare, friendly staff, and a proper breakfast done well. The bacon was pleasingly crispy, and there were good, dependable options for the vegetarian in our family too. The building is currently under renovation, which makes things feel a little odd and temporary, but that’s easily overlooked. What matters is the warm welcome, good coffee, and food that does exactly what it should. All in all, you can’t really go wrong here — and it felt far more welcoming and satisfying than many of the breakfast chains around the city.”
