“Absolutely wonderful food 🥘 great service, and quite affordable 💗🫶 thank you!”

“I’ve been here twice now and have had a pleasant time each visit. Friendly staff and delicious food. Edit: We have been coming here for two years now and it’s still one of my favorite places in the neighborhood.”

“Been coming to Yatai frequently for about two years now, and every time it meets or exceeds my expectations. Service is quick and the workers are kind and check in on you frequently to make sure you have everything you need. Prices are fair especially for the portions (rice bowls, fried rice, noodle dishes, etc). My personal favorites from the menu are the crab rangoons and the crunchy sweet potato tempura rolls! BYOB and they’ll provide glasses if you need them! Absolutely love this place, cannot recommend it enough.”

“I LOVE this place. I graduate in 2 months and i’m going to miss this restaurant more than anything else in Chicago. My friends and I go here at least every 2 weeks and that’s under-estimating. Best Asian fusion in roger’s park by far and it’s so affordable with great portions. BYOB and they give you glasses and a bottle cooler as soon as you sit down. We have tried almost everything on their menu and my favorite items have to be the fried gyoza, edamame, chicken wings, egg rolls, and the avocado roll for appetizers and for mains I am obsessed with the chicken teriyaki rice bowl, the pad see ew, and the panag curry. They also have cute dessert teas that they offer if you come in for a birthday. Lots of people order online and do pickup - which is totally fine but if you go to dine in it’s an adorable place with beautiful ambiance and unique dishes plus amazing service!”

“Lovely family owned restaurant. We had 4 or 5 different sushi rolls, very nice. My friend had the orange chicken and raved about how crunchy and yummy the chicken was.”

“I went here recently when I was celebrating a special occasion. My friend got some Ramen and I got Orange Chicken. We shared a Crunchy Shrimp Roll and a Spicy California Roll. The food was hot, fresh, and tasted amazingly. The service was direct and wonderful but the smell of seafood was heavy. I understand since there is seafood it will smell a bit fishy but I wish it wasn’t so strong. The seats were a bit uncomfortable too. Other than that, it was good and affordable.”

“Love this place! Have only had takeout once before this but had dine-in tonight. Food options are plentiful— you would think that with so much variety (Korean, Japanese, Thai) something would be lacking in flavor, but we were proven wrong. Everything is delicious and for such a good price!! Also, waiters and staff are super friendly and attentive 😄 definitely will become a staple restaurant for me!”

“Good takeout! The poke bowl was a pretty good size. The karaage didn’t come with any sauce which was a bit of a bummer, but I added some honey and soy sauce at home. The thai iced tea was standard. I’d order again.”

“The food is so fabulous and excellent and such a wide variety of menu options! The noodles, the rice dishes, the sushi, the appetizers and the ramen were all fantastic plus byob! You will love this restaurant!”
