“Delicious! At just under $20 per person ($76) , we picked the spread from mainstays chicken pad see yew to the Seafood Talay with sticky rice on the side and a fried rice, jasmine ice teas and one Thai iced coffee. My wife and I along with our children age 7 and 3 who are sometimes picky eaters devoured it with gusto. Friendly staff willing to answer questions modify orders— your casual Neighborhood Thai “street food” shop straight out of regions of Thailand travelers may have visited. Beautiful decor and a neat neighborhood with good degistive stroll Walking destinations all around.”

“Truly authentic Thai flavors completely depend on the chef, and I actually followed this specific chef from another Thai restaurant! They make the food here 100% authentic. If you want real Thai food, just look at where Thai people choose to eat—not people from other countries.”

“The best Thai restaurant I’ve found today! All the foods that we ordered are so tasty, we will be back again for sure!”

“As the name suggests, Kin Yum Tum Zaab is indeed serving up real Thai street food. Som tum was excellent: perfect balance of all the flavors and textures. So bright and refreshing I couldn't stop eating, which in hindsight was a bit of a problem because they do not hold back on the heat here. Pla Meuk Khai Nueng Ma Nao featured steamed squid simmering in a flavorful tangy broth mixed with heaps of garlic, chili, and Thai herbs. The spicy hot broth wasn't helping much with cooling things down but it was sure delicious. Kra Prow Moo Krob was also fantastic: lots of crispy pork belly, salty, spicy, slightly sweet, and a match made in heaven with rice. Do yourself (and if you're like me, your limited spice tolerance) a favor and get the Thai iced tea too. It was one of the best Thai iced teas I’ve had in a while with tea flavors coming through clearly instead of getting buried under sweetness.”

“Kin Yum Tum Zaab is a somewhat gem right next to the Granville train station in Edgewater. My boyfriend and I dined here for dinner and were pleasantly surprised with how much we loved our experience. First off, our server was absolutely lovely. My boyfriend has a shellfish allergy, and she was able to accommodate it and make some great recommendations on dishes she think we’d like. We each got a Thai iced tea, which we loved so much we got a to go order. Then we split a few dishes: the Panang curry, Thai fried rice, edamame, Thai sausage, Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Pad Kee Mao. Each dish was flavorful and the portion sizes were generous. Our absolute favorite was the Panang curry. We could’ve drank two more bowls of this each. The flavor and spice levels were perfect and paired great with the Thai fried rice. This spot is unpretentious and serves up deliciously flavorful Thai food. If you need your Thai food fix, come here!”

“Absolutely blown away. The squid dish had the perfect amount of heat to make you sweat and the pork laab was addictive. Everything here is perfectly seasoned and a notch or TEN above all other Thai restaurants. We finished the entire plate of fried rice and couldn’t stop eating it, and the mango sticky rice for dessert is the best either of us have had anywhere. Go go go. Amazing food. Big wow!”
“delicious, very sweet owner, very reasonably priced, and fast! loved it, will be back”
“What we tried, fried catfish salad, and ground chicken with Thai basil, were the best Thai food I had in Chicago. In fact this prompted me to post my first ever review here. The dishes were nicely balanced in terms of heat, sweetness, sourness and saltiness. They were not greasy and very fresh tasting. The waitress was really nice and recommended those two dishes. We can’t wait to go back to try other dishes. Please keep up the good work!”
