“The veggie pizza had the most veggies I've ever had on a pizza! So delicious. The thin crust cheese was also good. Friendly service, cans of soda and chocolate cake for take-out too!”

“A wise man once said, ‘One does not simply leave Chicago without devouring deep dish pizza.’ After countless subpar deep dish experiences in Seattle, I ventured to the Windy City, where this iconic pizza style was invented over 70 years ago. Locals recommended me a few places. One of them being ‘The Art of Pizza.’ I later discovered that it had been voted Chicago’s #1 deep dish pizza by Chicago Tribune. What I love most about this place is that you can order pizza by the slice. No more enduring a 30–40 minute wait when hunger strikes. Even better, it lets you try different flavors and toppings in one visit — exactly what I did. I tried the pepperoni, sausage, spinach & mushroom, and cheese slices. Every single one had me hooked from the first bite. The thick golden crust was excellent, but the real star for me was the sauce. It was subtle, herbaceous, and packed with flavor without being overpowering. At many other places, the sauce tends to be either too sour, too bland, or overly heavy. While I enjoyed all four slices, the spinach & mushroom was my personal favorite. If you’re looking for an authentic Chicago deep dish experience, this place is absolutely worth a visit.”

“I think it’s really rare that we can get just one slice of staffed pizza in Chicago! It was affordable and ofc the taste was super amazing!! I’m glad I went here instead of typical famous ones in downtown :)”

“This place was recommended by a local and it did NOT disappoint! By far the best pizza I've ever had!”

“Some of the best stuffed pizza in the city. Sauce is great, crust is GREAT, cheese is great. I wish the sausage were a little better, but everything else was perfect. Super nice staff and a very comfortable neighborhoody atmosphere.”

“The Art of Pizza, located in N Ashland Avenue, is one of the best Pizza restaurants in Chicago with a great selection of pizzas and delicious dishes. Rino Siconolfi Instagram rino_siconolfi”

“Got takeout pan pizza pepperoni and was one of the best pizzas I've had in Illinois. For how big the slices are pretty affordable as well.”

“Great place to try deep dish, you can get by the slice and there is thin crust too. Can get fountain drink Pepsi which goes really well with the pizza.”

“Although they have thin crust pizza, I chose a deep dish slice with sausage and pepperoni. I liked the crunch and flavor of the crust. The sauce tasted freshly made with a lot of garlic. Good cheese. My slice was only warm in the middle, I wish it would have been hotter. The sauce alone makes me want to come back to try their thin crust. Counter service was efficient. There is plenty of seating, in an adjacent room that is nicely decorated with a Chicago skyline wall mural.”

“I used to love this place, the pizza is great. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries... let me tell you the burger was burned, crispy around it...dry dry dry. The fries taste terrible. They forgot the soft drinks...not first time. I love their pizza, the best!!!”

“Easter I was at work and decided to order Takeaway. I know I know bad idea. To order non-pizza stuff from a pizza place I love their pizza by the way I eat art of pizza, pizza a couple times a month just didn’t have a taste for it yesterday I ordered a foot-long Italian sub which was OK by the way. And I got two little packs of mayonnaise not enough. The sandwich was dry. I ordered the fudgy chocolate cake the frosting chocolaty fudgy what you would expect the cake on the other hand was not moist and it was a a little firm like it was sitting out. I don’t know if that dry firm was just the cake texture. Maybe that’s just the way the it’s supposed to be. I ordered the fried chicken, french fries and salad with garlic dressing. Let’s start with the first thing I did not receive the salad when I was took my break and realized there was no salad. I called back, but nobody answered so I cannot speak on their customer service. Now the fried chicken was hot ,fresh when it arrived 25 minutes earlier than The posted delivery time that it would arrive. So I had to wait 30 minutes before I got a chance to eat food delivery early is not a dealbreaker. The chicken itself was fried too hard . I could not bite into it, but The breading had a nice flavor, Nice crunch. you get four pieces of chicken ,steak cut fries, which are my favourite and a salad or a choice of coleslaw. As I stated earlier the salad with garlic dressing in my order was not given to me. And it comes with bread and butter like the bread it was soft and pillowy, but then again not enough butter for the amount of bread .I usually eat art of pizza ….pizza at another location. I have never had any issues so Maybe it’s the location. Or it was close to closing time I was able to eat a quarter of my sub and the fries. The chicken is too hard for me to bite into sitting in the fridge. It was very easy to order. I even called the restaurant before I ordered and they were very helpful with a couple of questions. The only problem I have was with The execution. Maybe I could try the same order at my favourite art of pizza”
