“We recently celebrated my son’s 18th birthday at IL Girasole Trattoria, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We had a private dining-style setup, and everything from start to finish exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely amazing with well-balanced portions — perfectly satisfying without being overwhelming. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was above and beyond: attentive, warm, and incredibly accommodating. The staff made sure every guest felt comfortable and cared for, which made the evening feel extra special. One of the highlights was how they handled the cake. Not only did they cut it for us, but they also decorated each individual slice and plated them beautifully before serving — a thoughtful touch that truly impressed everyone. This was such a memorable celebration for our family, and I’m beyond grateful for the incredible service, attention to detail, and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend for special occasions, family gatherings, or intimate celebrations. We will absolutely be back!”
“The three of us went to the Regal movie theater and decided to grab dinner afterward. The restaurant was busy, but the staff was kind and accommodating and seated us at the bar, which is exactly what we wanted. The interior is beautiful with hardwood floors, warm lighting, rich wood accents, and elegant décor that instantly sets the mood. Service was immediate and absolutely outstanding. Honestly, the level of attention and professionalism made it feel like a Michelin level experience. Now to the food. We started with the carpaccio as an appetizer, which was excellent. I ordered their special fish, the branzino intero, a whole Mediterranean sea bass served with asparagus. It was delicious, perfectly cooked, and satisfying without feeling heavy. My two companions ordered the Bolognese and really enjoyed it, though one mentioned it could have used a bit more sauce. Their wine selection is solid, and they also offer Italian beer, which was a great touch. Overall, I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed.”

“Il Girasole Trattoria delivers exactly what you hope for in a classic neighborhood Italian restaurant... warm atmosphere, thoughtful cooking, and food made with care. I had the Ossobuco di Milano, and it was outstanding. The veal was incredibly tender, slow-cooked perfectly, and full of deep, rich flavor without being heavy. You could tell it was prepared with patience and respect for the dish. The sautéed spinach and garlic green beans were simple, fresh, and well-seasoned, excellent sides that complemented the main course rather than competing with it. For dessert, I had the Panna Cotta con Fragola e Caramello. The eggless custard was silky smooth, lightly sweet, and beautifully balanced by the fresh strawberries and caramel drizzle. It was elegant, not overpowering, and a perfect way to end the meal. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the overall experience felt relaxed and genuine. This is the kind of place that doesn’t need to be flashy, as the food speaks for itself. Highly recommended, and definitely a spot I’ll return to.”
“This place is a gem! We stopped in for an early dinner during the week. Emmanuel, our server, was so polite and accommodating. I couldn’t decide between two pastas and he offered to give me 1/2 portion of each. The food was absolutely divine. I highly recommend stopping in here for your next Italian meal!”
“Delectably delicious dinner! Yes, alliteration is required because our meal was poetic. From the fried zucchini blossoms stuffed with ricotta, which were light and airy, to the mouthwatering Gargannelli al Salmone (my favorite), and Tagliolini al Limone (that my date and I split), to the refreshingly sweet and tangy watermelon infused Baby Maker, I cannot rave enough about this gem of a restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was impeccably attentive. I highly recommend Il Girasole! Update: We came back for seconds and this place never disappoints! This time we had the Tortellini con Salsa Di Noce and the Branzino Entero. For dessert, we had La Panna Cotta Con Fragola E Caramello. We ate every last scrumptious morsel off our plates for every course. We were given the same undivided attention by our previous server who remembered our last order down to every last detail (our first time here was seven months ago)! Again, I HIGHLY recommend!!!”
