Siam Splendour — honest thai in Evanston. The food tastes like it should, with no compromises. Owner on site. Cloe: "The noodle dishes were delicious, bouncy perfectly cooked noodles with the right amount of seasoning"

“After a long time we found authentic tasting Thai food”
Ordered pad thai. Peanuts in the food are like moldy. Brown and black. I ended up tossing away the food.
This might have been one of the worst Thai food experiences I’ve had. The food was awful. Bland and uninspired.
I've been coming to this restaurant with my family for 7+ years.

“Really like their food.”
Really like their food. Everything was warm and delicious. There's 3 levels of spice-- and I recommend level 3. It wasn't too overwhelming and gave the food a really nice kick

I don’t ever leave reviews, but after eating here at least once a week during college, I had to. This place LITERALLY KEEPS ME ALIVE during school - the kao pad kari and panang curry are actually touched by the gods. Also, you can’t miss the thai ice tea - it’s so so good! It’s usually slammed during the weekends with desperate college students looking for hot food, so make sure to make a reservation. It’s so wonderful here! :)

“I now live out of state, and this is the first restaurant I go to when I’m back in town.”
I now live out of state, and this is the first restaurant I go to when I’m back in town. My favorite Thai restaurant in Chicago. Go here, make sure you try the Tom Yum Shrimp, Pad Thai, and Panang Curry Chicken. This restaurant is so consistently good. Always the same great fresh taste.

“I thought I am in Thailand for a second.”
I thought I am in Thailand for a second! I ordered Moo-Sarong, one of the ancient Thai appertiser way back when Portuguese and Chinese sailing boats to Thailand for trades. This dish was excellent, tender and crispy. Pad Prik Sod is one of my own favorite dishes. This restaurant made this dish perfectly spice and fresh! Highly recommended this place for anyone who want to try authentic Thai food!

“Great family owned restaurant.”
Great family owned restaurant. Food is always delicious, fresh ingredients. My favorite go to comfort food for past 10 years since I moved to Evanston. Love their taquito style version of Crab Rangoon!

“Don't order from uber eats here.”
Don't order from uber eats here. I order 4 things and only got 2, at least uber refunded me. They need to do a better job of making sure full orders go out or not use an app like uber. Disappointing really.

“I've been coming to this restaurant with my family for 7+ years.”
I've been coming to this restaurant with my family for 7+ years. Recently, at least 1 staff here started to use extremely toxic Gain scent beads on their clothes, making the entire place very painful to breathe in. I nearly died of the searing, stinging pain while eating here. Food is great, but I don't think I could stand the strong Gain scent beads contaminating the restaurant's indoor air anymore, so I am going to stop coming to this restaurant with my family. At first, it was air fresheners. Then it was itchy Gain detergent. Now it's painful Gain scent beads. These are restaurant people and they keep experimenting with super toxic fragrances, and it has been non-stop!!! If you are sensitive to toxic fragrances, you will not like it here. ------------------------------------------------------ Great flavor and delicious although it is only excellent 65% of the time. 35% of the time it is just not that flavorful and often too salty or too sweet. Recipe ratios are not consistently measured to precision every time.
