Chef Of Siam Thai Restaurant — clean, consistent thai in Morton Grove. Order the Curries. The recipes feel handed down, not invented. Good value, family-run. "The curry had a rich, creamy coconut base with just the right kick of heat" — Nobia Rizvi

“Love the home-made sign on the building's front, next to which is a giant "Grand Opening" sign”

New owner. Same excellent food and service at the location. Friendly family oriented atmosphere. Owner is a season chef. We had yellow curry, tom yum soup, garlic ck, shrimp in blanket, salad and tom kha. All tasted delicious. Priced accordingly. 12/30/25. Still great.

“"I had an exceptional delicious dinner last night.”
"I had an exceptional delicious dinner last night. I ordered crispy fried mussel pancake, chicken satay, som tom and beef stewed noodle soup which was cook to perfection and busting with flavor each bite was a delight. The food was truly outstanding. What really impressed me, however, was the attention to detail and commitment to using only the freshest, high quality ingredients. You can tell that the chef/owner passionate about their craft, and it shows in every aspect of the meal. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!" Over all I highly recommend Chef of Siam to anyone looking for delicious, inexpensive authentic Thai food.

I joined my coworkers for lunch at Chef of Siam Thai Restaurant, and my initial concern about finding a vegan option was quickly put to rest. They are well-versed in vegan cuisine, catering to a sizable vegan clientele, which was a huge relief. The restaurant had a cozy, typical Asian decor and a pleasantly quiet ambiance during our visit, allowing us to converse without raising our voices. For my meal, I opted for the vegetable fried rice with tofu. It was a perfect choice for me, as I'm not a fan of dishes drenched in soy sauce. The tofu was impeccably marinated and grilled, with a satisfying texture, just like the veggies. The spring rolls, while small, were pretty good too. The prices were fair, with my meal costing around $12, and I savored every bite. I appreciated the well-balanced flavors, and despite the generous portion, it didn't leave me feeling overly stuffed. I'm definitely planning to return to this spot in the future.

Wow! Food was absolutely delicious! Stopped in for the first time after a long day. We started with chive dumplings and Thai egg rolls. For our entrees, we had Cashew chicken and Pad See Eiw. All dishes were scrumptious! We'll definitely be back to try out more of the menu. Highly recommend stopping by!

“Ended up here on a whim and glad we did.”
Ended up here on a whim and glad we did. The fried rice may have come out first, followed by the wrong egg rolls, and then one entree after another with the white rice for the first entree dish finishing it off. There was only one server, she was super nice and did a great job but it was hopping so she was busy! We cleared most of the plates. Very tasty all around and everything was definitely fresh. The egg rolls were great, Pad Thai had a nice subtle kick, beef and broccoli was good, and the crispy chicken w sauce was absolute fire (that alone was worth it all). If they have a downfall it will be staffing. The food isn’t the problem. When we left more tables than not had dirty dishes on them. All considered, I’d go here again for sure.

“I am very impressed with the new owners of this establishment.”
I am very impressed with the new owners of this establishment. It's a different family owned Thai restaurant with pretty much the same menu and decor. But from my perspective that's a very positive thing. I've been coming here for the past ten years and was initially saddened when I discovered that the previous restaurant closed down. I decided to drive by and noticed the new sign. I order my favorite dish - the duck noodle soup- and was pleasantly surprised that it was as delicious and aromatic as I've grown accustomed when it was under previous ownership. The service I received was very warm and friendly. I will definitely be returning here. I wish the new family the very best of luck and much success in their new enterprise.

“I like that it's authentic flavor and the ingredients are solid.”
I like that it's authentic flavor and the ingredients are solid. Nice variety and caring owner. She thanked me and asked me to give feedback on the food directly to her so they can meet the needs of the community. I thought food was good and so did my husband, kids and parents.

“The ingredients weren’t too fresh.”
The ingredients weren’t too fresh. Had sourness to it. If they are able to fix that, should be a nice Thai spot. Som tum papaya salad - too much peanuts not enough green papaya , a bit more lime maybe better Summer roll - fresh Spring roll - sour tofu Red snapper - sauce was tasty fish was old but given it is frozen hard to predict the quality Green curry with beef - veggies all had a bit of sour to it not very fresh curry flavor was good Pad Thai - quite sweet
