“Pressed duck is my favorite meals of the Cantonese American cuisine, they have it 2 ways, I ordered it w sweet and sour sauce (I love peppers). It was amazing”

“Hidden in plain sight, old school Chinese restaurant vibes with real ma and pa energy. Portions are pretty big, prices are super reasonable (kind of wild for this economy), and the food just hits. Service is quick, they bring out hot tea right away, and the menu has plenty of options. I love that the meals come with soup, and the lunch specials even on Saturdays are clutch. Everything feels simple, comforting, and real. Definitely a spot I’d come back to without thinking twice.”

“First time trying is good 👍 I'm recommending this place.. all of this I pay $45.65 for 2 people”

“My friends and I came in, in hopes of taking photos at this beautiful restaurant. It didn't disappoint! Our server was so kind, understanding and service was smooth. The food was plated beautifully and tasted amazing. Can't recommend enough - thank you so much!”

““Palace Cantonese is a hidden gem that deserves all the hype.” The Beef Egg Fu Young? Absolute perfection — fluffy, rich, and full of flavor in every bite. The Spicy Beef Fried Rice? Simply amazing… the kind of dish that keeps you coming back over and over. And don’t even get me started on the Veggie Egg Rolls — golden, crispy, and packed with fresh flavor. Every plate feels like comfort food done right, with that authentic Cantonese taste that hits both tradition and satisfaction. The portions are generous, the flavors bold, and the service makes you feel at home. This isn’t just dinner — it’s a food experience worth sharing. #TrueAuthenticOriginal #ChicagoEats #FoodieFinds #YeahYeahYeahDoIt #PalaceCantonese #OneChicagoMasterpiece”

“My Mom and I were looking for a new (new to us) Chinese-American restaurant. Palace Cantonese surpassed all expectations. Every plate we had was delicious and food was hot. The service by Calvin was outstanding. We entered the restaurant and were the only ones during this late lunch time. We sat in the comfortable and cozy booth (firm for what my back needs). Right away, Calvin brought delicious hot tea and water. The Fried Won Ton, which is hard to find without meat, was perfectly fried, not soggy. The cup of egg drop soup was a generous portion, more like a medium bowl. The veggie egg rolls were large and tasty. The Chicken Szechuan, was like a kung pao chicken and very flavorful. I loved the touch from Calvin bringing extra peanuts without us asking. He also asked if we needed more tea even though our steel carafe was half full. At similar restaurants, I’ve not seen that service. The final touch was receiving 2 almond cookies (plus fortune cookies), which my Mom and I love. It’s my new favorite restaurant which I will be patronizing every time I’m in Chicago.”

“Great value for the money, tasty egg rolls food has great flavor”

“有濃厚中國氣氛的餐廳,寬的空間,有足夠的座位區,但是因為燈光昏暗,我的老花眼無法看清楚菜單。🤪 標準的份量和價格,是足夠的填飽肚子的,但是裝盛的餐盤有點小,看起來食物擠成一團,失去吸引力,有點可惜。基本的料理並沒有踩雷,卻也少了一點點驚艷。 因為我們的食量不大,不敢多點食物,所以能比較評論的餐點也不多欸!”

“This restaurant offered good food at a decent price. We enjoyed the lunch portions of Chicken and Broccoli, Beef and Green Peppers, and The Cashew Chicken. The portions were large and enough for two meals. The server checked labels for me for my caramel color allergy and specifically told me what I could and could not have. I would eat here again and I'm sure this is a popular spot in the neighborhood.”
