“10/10!! Great ambiance and the sushi was fresh and delicious.”

“Extremely creative and fresh rolls. Very intimate setting with great service.”

“Walked in and got seated right away. Sitting at the bar was a good move as you can see the chef preparing the sushi. The ambiance inside is nice and cozy and when you come around 4pm on a regular weekday there's not a lot of people. The sushi we had was great. We requested handrolls and they really made us handroll which was absolutely amazing. The truffle hamachi hand-roll was by far my favorite it was fresh and nice and crispy. The next one we had was seared salmon and albacore which was so good. The fill the hand-roll to the brim. The Ecuador was really fresh and filled with flavors. We also got their Chefs dressed scallops nigiri which was so good and just melted in your mouth. You must get the dessert which we got the green tea ice cream with the Fuji Fu apple cake and it was really good. Reminded me of the Trivoli Tavern date cake. Overall the chef were really nice and the service was great and very attentive. Their sister restaurant is Yokocho which has amazing rolls as well.”

“The staff and the chefs are truly amazing. The host lady is super welcoming. Thank you.”

“We came in a tuesday night and had drinks and sushi/nigiri, with edamame and deviled eggs. Great service at the bar and we loved the dragon and tarantula rolls. Thank you Sushi Dokku! They also have a bar downstairs we visited afterwards. Great spot in west loop for sushi.”

“So I blew it today shopping. She didn’t like any of the earrings or watches I wanted to buy her. So dinner tonight was my last chance to impress this girl. We bonded over 2 divine rolls, a Salmon Nigri, and some peppers. A fire started in the restaurant across the street that was emblematic of the heat I’m feeling between her and I. I really feel like after this lovely dinner, I’m so in there. Also, she loves espresso martinis; so that helped.”

“We got seated right away, even though we had no reservations. It was awesome sitting at the bar. Love this place! I'm glad it's still there 🙂”

“Fantastic sushi spot in Chicago! 🍣 Doku serves excellent, fresh sushi that truly satisfies. The service is fast and efficient, making it perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed meal. Great quality, great taste — a must-visit for sushi lovers in the city!”

“Came for dinner and the sushi was amazing! Made reservations for the sushi bar and the view did not disappoint. The sushi chefs were busy making sushi from the time I arrived until I left! I ordered a pear up cocktail and it’s spot on! Very delicious - made this my drink of the night. I started with the miso soup and hamachi ponzu. I thoroughly enjoyed the hamachi ponzu and didn’t want the plate to end! Other items I ordered were: maguro, sake, and tako nigiri. The fish tasted very fresh and I enjoyed the chef dressed on the tako. I also ordered the seared salmon and albacore roll and enjoyed it as well. The pieces were a decent size and flavor combinations worked well together. Overall, this is great spot for amazing sushi!”
