“While in Chicago we had the opportunity to go to Rosebud Taylor Street. Yum yum. The service was amazing. We had the honor to have Sarah and Alfredo that showed us the best in the menu and great selections of wines. We had three reds on the table and they were amazing. We had a selection of various dishes. Make sure you start with the Bruschetta. You'll receive a lovely portion of fresh bruschetta loaded with all the fixings. Each pasta dish was delicious. Generous portions and simply delicious. The Caprese Salad I ordered was divine with large beefsteak tomatoes. Overall we will say that the service was impressive and the food divine. A must place to go. All for Sarah or Alfredo and they will take superb care of you and help you with your choices. They went as far as asking in detail what you like our don't to help you select the best choice. Oh and don't miss out on the Tiramasu. Can we say yum yum again? Oh my, and try to ask for Frank Sinatra's table. He would enjoy his shots there. #NaydaAndEdInElkdom #whileinChicago”

“Took my son for dinner to celebrate his new apartment in the neighborhood. Wonderful. Wonderful. Wonderful. My seafood salad was delicious - fresh and plentiful. My son had the gravy dish - which reminded me of Sunday dinner at my Gma's. Great service. Wonderful atmosphere. Our new favorite neighborhood restaurant.”

“The lobster GOT is delicious. Very rich taste and flavor. Very good drinks and the service is top notch.”

“I haven’t been here in a while but it’s always been a solid pick. We visited before a graduation ceremony and everyone loved the food, wine, and ambiance. In addition to “real-deal” Italian dishes, the service stands out here. The staff works like a team to cover every base and closely anticipated our table’s needs without hovering. Their table red wine is pretty good. Just a bit sweet, not too “jammy,” and it’s easy to drink but rewards deeper thought on it. Other than that, they have a vast selection of different wines by the bottle and glass, and I really enjoyed their Chianti Riserva. I’ve usually gotten pasta when visiting (and it’s amazing every time), but this time I had the chicken Milanese (chicken parm with tomatoes and arugula salad) and it was incredible. The texture, flavor, presentation and portions were all clearly the result of a kitchen that takes pride in the food. We love discovering new places, but Rosebud has been a staple special-occasion pick for us through the years. I’d come back to try the Francese next time.”

“A very nice place I went last night with my wife, the restaurant has an old atmosphere the Italian food of the best I have tried and the service 10/10”

“One of the best dining experiences we have ever had. The service, drinks, atmosphere and food were next level. Our waiter Jose made us feel like family.”

“I came all the way from California for St. Patrick’s Day and somehow ended up having one of the most memorable Italian dinners of my life at Rosebud on Taylor Street. The night started with me confidently ordering… a salad. Just a salad. The host paused, looked at me, and said, “That’s it?” while the rest of my table went full Italian feast mode. I was already laughing and also slightly questioning my own decisions. But I absolutely made the right call. The burrata and prosciutto with arugula salad was hands down one of the best salads I’ve ever had. Fresh, flavorful, perfectly balanced. I’m still thinking about it. Everyone at the table ordered something different. The bruschetta had a real flair for flavor. The cacciatore was incredible. There was one more dish that was so good I honestly forgot the name because we were too busy enjoying ourselves. The drinks were also great. The kind where you say you’ll just have one and suddenly you’re fully living in the moment. What really made the experience unforgettable though was the atmosphere and the staff. The managers were dressed in sharp black and brown suits, which gave the whole restaurant this classic old Italian movie vibe. Not in a cheesy way. In a timeless, elegant, you feel like you just walked into a scene kind of way. At the same time, the servers were warm, attentive, and constantly checking on us. Everyone made us feel welcome, joked with us, and treated us like we had been coming there for years. It felt personal and genuine. Ending my Chicago trip with dinner here before flying home the next day was the perfect finale. Amazing food, great drinks, incredible hospitality, and an atmosphere I won’t forget. Rosebud didn’t just serve dinner. They created a whole experience. I can’t wait to come back. And next time… I might even order more than just a salad. Maybe.”

“The absolute best of the old school Italian restaurants in Chicago! My family ate here on Christmas Day and I think every single person that worked there stopped to wish us a Merry Christmas, they seemed genuinely happy that we were there. The servings are indeed huge, be prepared to take home leftovers. But the food is fresh and delicious. We all loved our meals including the HUGE slice of Christmas cake. A definite must-visit if you want a classic Chicago Italian restaurant experience with the kindest service in town.”

“Very happy they opened on Taylor Street again. I ordered something special; the Brick Chicken is a great dish. Seasoned, split and de-boned, then cooked flat in the oven. The skin is delicious and the meat is moist and tender. I heard from Pat Brickhouse this was one of Jack's favorites. I highly recommend it.”

“My boyfriend and I came here last night and had the most fabulous experience. The service was impeccable and the food was phenomenal. Every person working was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was also lovely! The renovations are beautiful. We got the bruschetta, nonna’s gravy, spinach, chicken marsala, and banana cream pie. I would order everything again and will soon!”

“Mladen is truly outstanding! He is incredibly knowledgeable, highly experienced, and one of the friendliest professionals you will ever meet. He genuinely cares for his customers and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and valued. The food at Rosebud on Taylor is exceptional!! If you visit, do yourself a favor and ask for Mladen or make sure you are introduced to him. I promise, his service will elevate your entire dining experience and make it unforgettable. Highly recommended!”
