Redhot Ranch
Redhot Ranch — among the best hot dogs in Bucktown. The decor hasn't changed, and it doesn't need to. Well-priced, moves fast. Mc smarto: "Best smashburger and fresh cut fries for a good price (ask for grilled onions)" [patio, cash only]

“Cool place to eat standing around or sitting outside below the subway tracks.”

“Been coming to RedHot Ranch since i was a little boy with my big lips and curly hair. It was a tradition of me and my dad Tomas. I got today a polish with fries always so fresh and good for $6.50 not bad at all. The staff was friendly as always the Mexican girl and the Mexican guy really nice. Overall everything is good on the menu. Go check them out if u never been it's one of the best hot dog stands in Chicago. 🌭🍟🤤”

“Top 3 hotdogs ever tried. Took me 40 mins walk one way, cash only...still worth 100%.”

“Old school Chicago VIBES!! The smell of hotdogs when you walk in, the fries being cut fresh! Amazing! Burger and fires $8! Wow, can’t believe this my first time and not my last! Great deal and burgerszz…”

“Freaking amazing everything when it comes to fast food! Shrimp, Polish, sausage, cheeseburgers and especially the fresh cut fries. It's all good here and very reasonable prices with fast service. I keep coming back again and again and recommending others to do the same!”

“Had my 1st Chicago dog! Wonderful food and experience in Chicago Illinois”

“Redhot ranch is a Chicago staple. My brother and sister have been egging me to try it. I succumb and we set out to the nearest location which was this one. It’s under the subway so it’s a pretty cool location. The inside is what you’d expect. A torn interior with an old classic non-renovated style burger shop with paint chipped walls and nostalgia. Their fries are better than most chains/spots but not my favorite personally as they taste more sweet fried like a funnel cake if that makes sense. The burgers are pretty good, but only if they prepare it well. My double patty burger wasn’t really seasoned and dressed well so I didn’t care for it. My brothers on the other hand was stacked and I did enjoy that very bite. Make sure you eat it fresh as they are oily. Prices are extremely reasonable as well. I’d say this place is a must try for burger lovers but I wouldn’t drive 20+ minutes for it again.”

“I was told that this is the best Chicago hot dog you can get. Well, It's a good hot dog but weiner circle, Superdog and even portillo's are much better hot dogs. What I got was complete mess smushed in with a bunch of half cooked fries mustard all over the place and it was just a complete and utter mess. Couldn't even finish it because the bun fell apart, Soggy! I don't understand the reviews and I'm trying really hard because I love hole in the wall places, but there are much better hot dogs at a whole bunch of different places. Is it cheap? Yeah fries and a hot dog is about six bucks with Tax I believe. Was it worth it? No”
“I’ve only recently made this spot my regular burger shop, but i wish i had sooner. it’s quick, fresh, and always hits the spot. while all of the above is great, what truly makes this place special is the people behind the counter. genuinely a great group of people who are respectful and make the experience enjoyable.”
