La Licor Panamericana — one of Logan Square's strongest bar & grill spots. The kind of room you save for someone special. Good cocktails round out an already strong menu. Heythem sahori: "Every plate came out fresh, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor"

This bar was awesome! I had two cocktails from the menu, the Esquite which was amazing and the Pisco Sour (in the photo) which was awesome! The bartenders and staff were all kind and attentive. Our bartender was experimenting with new drinks and offered us a small sample of what he was working on. It’s always nice to see that a bar is committed to their bartenders trying new things and experimenting! It was an absolutely lovely neighborhood bar. We didn’t have any food but the fritters at the neighboring patrons looked tempting!! I’ll be going back and taking friends.

A true hidden gem. We came here with a party of six, not knowing what to expect, and were immediately surprised. The exterior doesn’t quite capture your attention, but the inside is absolutely beautiful. We had no idea we were about to go on such a culinary adventure. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the host and our waitress. The entire staff was welcoming and hospitable, which made the experience even better. The music was at the perfect volume—lively but not overpowering—so we could comfortably enjoy our conversation. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain every drink on the menu, including how they make their own Coke syrup and unique infusions, which added a distinct flavor profile. The drinks were outstanding—especially the Batida, Puerto Paraíso, and a whiskey highball made with their homemade syrup. All were incredibly well-crafted. She also explained the restaurant’s concept, taking us on a “journey” through different countries in the Americas. Since there were six of us, we decided to take the full tour all the way down to Argentina—which made the experience even more fun. Chef Carlos personally came out to explain his dishes, and his passion for cooking was evident. You can tell when a chef truly cares—not just in the taste, but in the presentation and attention to detail in every dish. I’ve included photos of some of the standout plates. As a side note: I’m the only one at the table who typically enjoys rare meat, but everyone ended up fighting for more. The chef didn’t ask how we wanted it cooked—and honestly, he didn’t need to. He delivered it perfectly. That level of confidence and execution speaks for itself. (Side note he is Argentinian) We were all blown away by how flavorful and tender the meat was. It genuinely made me wonder why I hadn’t discovered this place sooner. This dish alone has set a new standard for me—I’d have a hard time justifying spending money at a high-end steakhouse if it doesn’t match the quality and flavor found here at La Licor. I could go on about every dish, but I’d rather let others experience it for themselves. Bravo, Chef Carlos—quizás regresaré para probar el pulpo… maybe. Y también gracias a Paola por ser una excelente mesera. Todos tuvimos una gran experiencia gracias a tu hospitalidad y atención. Definitivamente ganaron clientes regulares.

Omg, the cocktails here are top tier. This is a great place for authentic Latin American dishes and elevated cocktails. They have $10 drink specials for happy hour which is a steal considering the effort and care put into each one. Johnny at the bar made amazing suggestions and was able to modify a cocktail for me to fit my preferences. I’ll definitely be back for a bite to eat.

I could not have asked for a better experience! Ricardo and chef Johnathan were amazing host. The drinks were well balanced with fresh ingredients and the food was well thought out and prepared. You can tell that they take pride in what they create. I haven’t had food this good in a year! I HIGHLY recommend this place if you want great food, service, and atmosphere. It is authentic Latin food made with passion and love for the culture. Happy hour is wed-Sunday 4pm-6:30pm, I’m begging you to go asap!

This place is sitting pretty at a 4.9 for a reason— we went here for a belated v-day meal and we loved it!! The ceviche, oysters, and lomo were our favorites, and I’m gonna be dreaming about the frozen cocktails until I get to come back. We got the sotol flight, which we recommend as long as no one has to drive home lol. Our server was super knowledgeable and it was great to meet the chef de cuisine as well. Thanks la licor🧡

Beautiful space, wonderful staff, and delicious drinks! I visited for the first time and felt really welcomed. A gentleman (I’m assuming the manager or owner) even stopped to ask me how I found out about the place and checked in on me in addition to the waiter. I did have some light bites from the Restaurant Week menu. The shrimp empanada and the accompanying salsa were delicious. Didn’t care too much for the chicken, rice, and potatoes dish, but it was well presented. Cheesecake was good, would like to try the flan next. The standouts for me were the drinks! I tried the Escandalo cocktail and a NA coquito. Both delicious! Will definitely return to try more food options and drinks.

Went for happy hour (4–6:30) and their frozen cocktails are to die for! I’m not a fan of super sweet drinks, but these weren’t overly sweet at all, just packed with flavor. I will say we got there early and it does seem to be a place that requires a reservation if you’re going to eat. We just sat at the bar. We live in the area, so we’ll definitely be back and would absolutely recommend this spot to others!

Atmosphere is amazing, they always have the accurate playlist (I’ve shazamed at least 4 songs), candles light which makes the place to feel even better. Food 10/10, highlighting the fresh just baked pao de queijo and tasty Burguer. Drinks 20/10, there are cocktails designed to experience the best of different countries, so, you can judge it by yourself from La Licor. What an experience!
