“What a hidden gem! I hope nobody finds out about this place. This place was absolutely amazing—fantastic food, exceptional service, and a truly beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend!”

“The physical space is basic but clean and comfortable. It is the really tasty food that brings me back here. Most others eating around me are Latino speaking Spanish energetically and in a way that lets you know they are regulars and know each other. I believe that when natives of the country of origin of the food frequent a restaurant, you can be sure the food is authentic. I had the chicken mole enchiladas with a side of guacamole. The restaurant provided corn chips with a bean dip that was tasty but I did add some salt. The mole sauce was tangy yet not overly hot. The meal was large and I took much of it home. It reheated beautifully and was totally tasty. Service was fast and the waitress was friendly. Don't be dissuaded by the basic appearance and plastic table cloths. This is really good food. I do wish they had some healthier drink options but they have an extensive menu and lots of choices of soda drinks.”

“so much good food for a great price, i think i'm no longer mentally ill”

“Delicious!!! The carnitas taco was amazing and the quesabirrias were great too! Only reason for 4 stars is that the consommé could have more flavor. I’ll come back 🫶🏻”

“This place is just bad. The price is way to high to be this below average. On top of that they're portions are skimpy. My go-to Mexican dinner is a 3 steak taco meal, and I had to go to McDonald's right after this (I'm only 150 lbs). Today I went and got nachos ($16). This thing legitimately has 15 chips in it and half were thrown on top as an after thought. I will admit they're horchata is good but don't go here unless you're looking to spend $50 on mediocre food, that probably won't fill you up. Edgewater taco which is across the street is better in every way, they just don't have seating”
“The food is always very good and filling. The menu is affordable. The people are very nice and welcoming. It is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago.”
“Go for the tacos, not the ambience. We got take out. Amazing food. The red sauce is HOT.”
“Got some tacos. Solid place. Everything tasted good and you got solid portions for the price. Recommended”
