“I had dinner with a couple of friends. We ordered the Taco platter, nachos and drinks. For the taco platter we choose carne asada, al pastor and fish tacos. Out of the 3, we all agreed the fish tacos were the best. The fish was perfectly cooked and the mix of the sauces and toppings made it exquisite!! The steak tacos was delicious as well, however we all agreed the al pastor was a bit to salty for our taste. At the end we had the churro which were delicious as well. They had strawberry and plain, both were perfect. All in all i would say this is a good place to fulfill your taco cravings. 🌮”

“What a fantastic spread from start to finish. The meal began with fresh guacamole, flavorful salsa and chips, and bright, tangy pickled vegetables that set the tone perfectly. The Taco Flight was the highlight, offering a great variety of flavors and textures. The Asada (skirt steak) taco was tender, juicy, and packed with rich grilled flavor. The Chicken Barbacoa was well-seasoned and comforting, while the Baja-style beer-battered fish taco was crispy, light, and delicious with a fresh coastal vibe. The Poblano taco, paired with the chile toreado, added a smoky kick and rounded out the flight beautifully. The Flautas de Pollo were wonderfully crispy and filled with flavorful shredded chicken barbacoa. The lettuce, pico de gallo, and sour cream added freshness and balance, while the rice and beans made the dish satisfying and complete. The Quesabirrias were outstanding—rich, savory beef birria combined with perfectly melted cheese created an indulgent and comforting bite that was hard to stop eating. For drinks, the Agua Fresca de Horchata was creamy and refreshing, while the Jamaica offered a vibrant, slightly tart contrast. The Strawberry Refresher was light, fruity, and refreshing. To top it all off, both the Mango Margarita and Strawberry Margarita were excellent. They were flavorful, refreshing, and complemented the food perfectly without overpowering it. A well-executed meal with bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and a great variety of dishes. Every item brought something unique to the table, check out my TikTok AKGoesPlaces for a detailed review”

“Amazing tacos🤤and dont even mention those margaritas with quesabirrias 🔥🔥🔥 The steak has been extremely juicy and delicious as of now!!!”

“If you haven't been to '76 Taco yet, you’re seriously missing out. I'm not even being paid to say this, but I’ve gotta give them their flowers—that was honestly one of the best steak burritos I’ve ever had. The flavor is just unreal, and you can tell they actually put care into the food. I also tried a chicken barbacoa taco that was so flavorful I didn't even need to use salsa on it. The menu had a lot to choose from so really you can't go wrong with whatever you pick. The service was super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole vibe even better. Definitely worth a stop!”

“I had a Tortas with both carne Asada and pork both meats cooked tender and blended well together. I also had a steak taco dinner plate with beans and rice while the tacos were great very tender, the beans were some of the best I've ever had they were savory and not overly seasoned. I also had the quesabirria tacos with beef cilantro, and onions which bring out more of the flavor for the beef all blended well together and melts on first bite”

“My girlfriend and I have driven by this place many times but never stopped. We finally stopped in. Fantastic tacos and friendly service. We can’t believe it took us so long!”

“I usually love the birria tacos here—they’re normally a 10/10—but this last visit was disappointing. In one of my three tacos, I found what felt like a stick or hard piece inside, which completely threw me off. It made me question the quality control and took away from the experience. I’m hoping this was just a one-time issue because I’ve had great food here before, but finding something like that in my meal isn’t okay. I’d recommend double-checking food prep to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

“Taco 76 in Oak Park has been a huge disappointment, and I feel compelled to warn others. We’ve been loyal customers for about a year, spending hundreds of dollars, especially for their pricey $5 tacos. Unfortunately, over five times, we’ve had to drive back home after pick-up because the orders were wrong. Each time, no one takes responsibility—no accountability, no apology. As a customer, when you’re paying top dollar, you expect quality service, but they just don’t care. The latest experience was the last straw. Today, we tried dining in. My husband got there at 11:50 a.m., ordered a corn and some tacos. After 15 minutes, the tacos were still wrong. I asked for extra lime, and they told me I’d have to go back in line and pay for it, despite the fact that they, once again, had our order wrong. My lunch hour was ticking away, so I had to wait in line to pay for these additional limes. I’ll attach a photo of a lime slice, which is .50 cents per 2 slices… ridiculous, you would think after they made an error with our order they would just give us the likes. By the time I asked to cancel the corn after waiting forever, they couldn’t even figure out how to refund me. The staff was defensive, no one communicated that they were short-staffed, and it was just a mess. The younger employee with black hair had a very nasty attitude and instead of taking ownership and making things right, she felt the best thing to do was just increase her attitude and basically let us know she could care less. I’ve tried to support this small business, but it’s so clear now that they simply don’t care about their customers. Save yourself the trip. There are better taco spots in Oak Park worth your time and money.”
“Third time I visit and everything has been amazing, from customer service, to the food, the steak tacos and quesabirrias are definitely a to go to.”
