“This place is so great! The hubs and I order from here all the time. Chilaquiles, hot Cheetos burritos, everything we’ve tried is fire. Highly recommended!!!”

“Best Horchata in Chicago Writing this review before i even get my food because the horchata is so delicious I had to share”

“I never had a burrito quite like this in my life. It was unique to me but it wasn't spicy. It hit the spot on this Saturday night.”

“As what seems standard to me from most places you get a good helping of food. The food is good and the pricing is fair. Atmosphere is decent but feels little empty”

“Finally got to try this taqueria. I came to a polo tournament across the street at St Patricks H.S and I had to give this place a try during the break. My son suggested Chipotle but there was no way I would be literally across the street from taqueria Thalys and not try them. - I ordered an asada taco and 1 of tripitas. Both were VERY GOOD! I could have ordered more because they were pretty good but I am doing portion control! My Son ordered a “burrito bowl”. Pretty good too. He just did not finish it since he had to go back to swim. Prices are reasonable.”

“Date: Valentine’s Day Food: Great tacos and tortas! The torta was overall the best thing I’ve tried in a while. The heart shaped torta was a nice touch. The horchata was okay but the cup that it came in was an amazing souvenir. However, the prices are crazy! 92~$ what is that… for 2 people… really… 6 tacos, 1 torta and a 1 drink… Service: The service was a little slow but it was worth it because the bread was fresh and warm. One bite and it went right through the bread. It was super soft. The beans inside the torta were fresh and warm too which made the wait worth the while. Needs more waiters or cooks if you want to speed things up. Atmosphere: Good cute decorations for Valentine’s Day. 2 bathrooms men’s and women’s. Small bathrooms. The cleanliness is decent for a casual spot. Tables are equally spaced out and room is comfortable. One thing that really stands out is the time this place closes! 3AM!! Wow that’s awesome especially since they serve good food. Also, it’s not too noisy. They have music playing and a tv with moderate/low noise. Summary: good spot to eat food, expensive but worth to try. Final verdict: I would come again! BUT not often due to crazy prices. 8/15 —> ~3/5 barely (can be higher if those prices go down!)”

“It was alright. I came in during a week day. I’m a longtime b.c resident so I’ve been trying restaurants around here and this place is just another okay place. I was surprised that this Mexican restaurant in b.c didn’t give out the free chips with salsa. I got a carne asada torta and also surprised at the price of it because usually tortas are like 8.99. It was still good, I was just expecting it to be “better” in a way because of the price point. Like bigger in size or to come with a side. Salsas were not that spicy but they were good ig. Maybe because I went during the week but there was also no music playing. Overall clean.”

“I was rooting for this place but was very disappointed they need to get better meat and seasoning. The asada was just salty like the goya adobo and the al pastor had no flavor at all . The bread on the torta was so soggy it was a mess to eat .best of luck to this place”

“Really bad experience this was my first and last time in this place. So we started of with the horchata drink in that blender cup total garbage for 25 dollars and half the container was all ice not to mention it wasn't real horchata but powder kind. The breaded steak was nothing but paper thin and dry piece. And we decided to order steak tacos that were mostly fat on it and not good. We also ordered an alpastor that was the only decent flavor but no pineapple or onion on it and for last a chorizo taco all mush and grease and for a total of 85 bucks for 5 tacos and 1 torta. Total rip off don't ever go there .”

“As residents of the neighborhood for over 15 years, we were looking forward to trying this spot, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. While we enjoyed the ambiance, the food quality did not meet expectations, especially considering the price. My husband’s heart-shaped milanesa torta featured meat that was far too thin for the bun. My daughter’s carne asada tacos appeared and tasted undercooked, and my own order of carne asada fries contained significantly more onions than meat. Furthermore, the al pastor taco was missing the traditional pineapple, and the chorizo was so greasy that it was inedible. We also found the horchata to be prepared from a powder rather than being fresh. We ultimately decided to leave our meal unfinished and settle the check early. While the decor and the vintage telephone make for nice photos, the quality of the meal was not at the level we anticipated. I hope this feedback is helpful for your future operations.”
