Always an amazing time there! Ruben our bartender took great care of us and was super friendly! As a bartender myself he did an amazing job behind the bar! Give that man a raise! Will be back very soon! Also the burger made me take the best nap of my life 🍔🍔

Went here after a long time of me procrastinating about going. It was worth it service was amazing food was delicious the mocktails are great. Got the bad wolf burger and it was amazing, the charcuterie board was delicious with different items on it. Only bad thing i will say is the fries are too small/thin felt like i was eating the bottom of the fry bin with it being almost all crumbs. Will go back though

We went here for my brother’s birthday since we have heard a lot of good things! To start off, we surprisingly got seated right away despite it being lunchtime on a Saturday. Our waiter was phenomenal- she was so sweet and helpful! We started off with the muscles and a duck bao bun- both of which were so good! The mussels and broth were delicious and the duck was crispy and so so tasty. Then, my family got the wolf burger and I got the bad burger with an egg. They were delicious!! I would definitely recommend getting an egg and the fried onions on top of the bad burger. I was able to finish the bad burger but the wolf burger was too big for my parents haha. They gave a generous amount of fries and the side salad was really good with several dressing options. And, the Mac and cheese was phenomenal! Also, all the food came out SUPER quick, like 5/10 minutes! The building was pretty cozy but nothing special. Overall, this place was very good! No dessert but there’s enough food to make you full!! Maybe a little bit pricy but worth it.

Sustaining a reputation for excellent burgers can be quite challenging especially in this stretch of Andersonville, where there is no shortage of good food and drinks. But this place not only keeps up with quality burgers, its other items, like Mac and cheese, are also quite good. While the food items are great, cocktails are even better. Very few places are suitable for lunch, dinner, or late night eats, but this place is highly recommended for all hours.

We came in after the dinner rush, so we were seated right away without having to wait. The atmosphere was great—not noisy at all—which made it easy to have a conversation. The highlight of our meal was definitely the burger: perfectly seasoned, not overly salty, with a juicy patty. The Caesar salad portion was huge and very flavorful. We would absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be back for more.

The juiciest and most flavorful burgers!! Also, AMAZING salads and tacos— the biggest salads with house made dressing 🤤 Everything is so good and the portions are really big! Excellent service throughout and the restaurant ambiance is nice and cozy! Highly recommend!! Can’t wait to return!

Sooooooooo GOOD! The Bao tacos were 🔥 - got the steak, pork, and maitake (all 3 had me licking my lips). The Bad Burger was friggin delicious. My only neg was the Old Fashioned wasn't "old" enough for me - wasn't nearly as dark or heavy enough. However, the LBW Manhattan was FABULOUS! 😋

Cozy, seductive atmosphere. We sat at the bar and the service was excellent. Tried a few options and settled on some great drinks. The burger was stunning. Definitely get the onion straws!

“I love LBW It is what it is, a great burger place and more.”

I love LBW It is what it is, a great burger place and more. Tacos, mac & cheese, lumpia and more. If you have the Chicago Blues, this place will sooth your soul with delicious comfort food. I enjoyed my Wolf Burger, however, you will want to have extra napkins when you try it. Good beer and whiskey selection. LBW is NOT better than Au Cheval, I think some of these reviewers are smoking rock for saying that! 100% recommend!

“Our waiter was lovely.”

Our waiter was lovely. We were seated right away on a Saturday afternoon. I was craving a steak and ordered the steak frites medium. I was only able to finish half of it. They are generous with the fries as well which are made in house. The burger was tasty and juicy. The side salad was also generous in size. Coming back soon!

Went to LBW yesterday with my family of 7 because we honestly wanted to see if it was on par with Au Cheval’s burger and to finally find out who has the best burger in Chicago. The consensus (according to my family) is that the burger at LBW is neck and neck with Au Cheval’s. A couple of my children prefer LBW and a couple of them prefer Au Cheval. I wish I could say that one was better than the other, but I can’t. For me, it was about the same in terms of quality and taste. LBW has a great burger and so does Au Cheval, so I suggest you try both.
