Really liked the place. Good, fast service and I really like the bowls.
Amazing horchata. And pozole.
Great people, good food. Mini Burrito plate is a great way to taste test. We liked the ancho and al pastor.
Classic Chicago atmosphere. Good food. Vegan options. Amazing chips and guac. And the margaritas will get you lit.

“Great local fast-casual Mexican place right under the train tracks.”
Great local fast-casual Mexican place right under the train tracks. Everything is so fresh and delicious. This is a great place for groups, because everyone can order and pay individually! Only con is nothing is spicy, not even the two salsas provided.

Excellent spot to have some Mexican food and a drink. Chill atmosphere, quick service, clean. Love the fact it’s a very urban location under the train tracks.

“Came for $1 Taco Tuesday.”
Came for $1 Taco Tuesday. Just had simple ground beef tacos but they came out with lettuce, tomato and sour cream on home made corn tortillas. Even with just 3 tacos I left pretty full. It was a good value for sure.

“The chicken tacos were just awesome and also heavy.”
The chicken tacos were just awesome and also heavy. They also have a special chicken taco with masala chicken fillet inside. Four of them will be good enough for dinner.

“I seriously just had the best meal here.”
I seriously just had the best meal here. I had a street corn chicken bowl and add the taco shell bowl. I can’t get over how good it was. This was a 5/5 stars for me and I will def be ordering again. I marked a star off overall because I wasn’t a fan of their queso and frozen strawberry margarita I had last time I was in, but everyone has different taste buds! I thought the chips and queso were lacking salt and I needed extra strawberry syrup for my margarita.

This was my third time here and for a quick fast casual mexican restaurant style, I really enjoyed it. The highlights for me were the tamales and really strong margaritas, and not to mention a happy hour. The wait can be long if it's busy. The portions are fair and the food is tasty. I'd go back again.

“Ordered the chips, guac, black bean taco, black bean tamale and a margarita.”
Ordered the chips, guac, black bean taco, black bean tamale and a margarita. The chips and guac are sold separately. They’re a good portion which is expected for the $11 total price tag. The guac needs salt. It’s too sour and the chips are also unsalted and break so easily. I’m not even exaggerating. The green and red salsa taste like water. also no exaggeration. No spice or flavor unfortunately. The tamale is decent! Good price and good size and flavor. Maybe a bit more salt on the beans but pretty good. The taco was ok. Not bad but could use a little more salt. The margarita was ok. Portion and taste was ok. But served in what looked like a dollar tree plastic fogged up glass and no rim. There was also a lot of separation going on in the drink. Lastly you’re asked to pay and tip to place your order. Meaning you don’t get to tip accordingly to service. Regardless I tipped. But no one checked in on me once after my food was dropped off as you normally do in a restaurant. Would come back but they need to upgrade their salsas and chips and use a little more salt.

Tacos are solid. Steak and al pastor are tasty. Unfortunately the chicken tamale we got tonight was suuuuper oily. The burrito was good, too much rice in my opinion. Come for the tacos, stay for Gordos.

“Second time eating from here.”
Second time eating from here. First time dined in and the rice bowl was tasty except for the hard clumpy burnt rice that I assumed was scraped from the bottom of the pot. Ordered street corn tacos and burritos tonite. Tacos were tasty.. oily but had some flavor. However their lime grilled steak burritos were just Nasty. First of all, the steak is not grilled. Its like a boiled in lime and fat flavored meat that looked more like boiled ground beef bits than steak. Hubby, the burrito lover couldn’t finish his. He was done after he hit the gristle (pic) and his poorly wrapped burrito collapsed on his plate. It really was just a greasy tasteless mess. A poor excuse for a burrito. We ordered sides of beans but instead got refried bean soup/ dip. It was tasty though, as beans go. Everyone is cutting corners today, but serving up such poor quality meat loaded with fat and gristle as steak is not acceptable. Im reviewing tonite because 1. I expect if I buy grilled steak, I get steak that was cooked on a grill. 2. If I buy a side of beans, that does not say ‘refried’ that I get beans and not refried bean soup. 3. And most importantly because i ate the rest of the hubby’s abandoned burrito and now we both feel sick from the fat/ grease from the meat, and I have a whole burrito left in the fridge that we are both avoiding, but can’t return for a refund. Service is good. Food sub par. Overated. Overpriced. My pic below makes the gristle look like nothing.lol
