Big Star Wrigleyville
Big Star Wrigleyville — a mexican spot in Lakeview. Good energy here, especially on weekends. Drink selection punches above its weight. Anthony Benitez: "They were all good but the best of the bunch was the pork belly" [$$, patio]

“Great stop! Had a little time before our concert at Wrigley, and they got us right in. Had our food to us within 10 minutes of sitting down and the flavors were out of this world. Would definitely return”

“After the cubs game I was supposed to go to was canceled, I headed over to the big star and let me tell you something, the crunch star supreme forever ruined any Taco Bell crunch wrap. The tacos are also expertly made, and all of this for about 12 bucks per person. If you are in town for a game, the spot is a must for the family”

“The food came quickly. There were plenty of vegetarian options. That burrito though...so big!”

“We were there on a busy Saturday night and the energy was great! Really attentive service, great food, great mint martini.”

“Swung in before Cubs game. Great brunch. Good service and at least for today no wait. Fun place.”

“The food came in really fast and the rice bowls were Amazing. The pickled beer was interesting but good our waiter was good”

“Great spot for a pre-game bite. Can get any beer as a chelada, excellent atmosphere.”

“Nachos were spectacular, tacos as well. Service was good. Just before a Cubs game, was not too crowded. $5 for a single 12oz can of Diet Coke is a little ridiculous but is what it is.”

“This restaurant is very close to the Wrigley Field. We ended up getting take-out, but we did get to see the inside as we waited for our food. Service and the atmosphere was great. There's a bar, some seating and a patio in the back. The food I ordered: panzo and pescado tacos and the elote. My cousin ordered a burrito, which was a pretty big portion size. I really enjoyed my food and the spice, my favourite was the pescado (fish taco), it was crispy and tasty.”

“Hit up Big Star Wrigleyville before a Cubs game, and it was a solid choice. The spot's got a lively vibe with a big patio that's perfect for people-watching. I ordered the Taco Al Pastor and the Taco De Pescado—both were flavorful and hit the spot. Also grabbed the Big Star Nachos, which were loaded and great for sharing. Spent around $25, including a margarita that was strong and refreshing. Service was a bit slow, but the staff was friendly. Overall, a great place to grab some tacos and drinks before the game.”
