Taverna Naxos
Taverna Naxos — Wilmette mediterranean with a strong Grouper. A holdout in the best possible way. Flavors that haven't been adjusted for mass appeal. Works for larger parties. "Everything was amazing, but the moussaka was the best ever" — Ella Raffensperger [$$, patio]

“This is our third time to Naxos & it's been outstanding every time! My mom ordered the Dover Sole & said it was amazing! From the deconstructed Pastitsio to the lamb shank we enjoyed our delicious & hearty meals!!! We highly recommend spending an evening here💗”

“Pricey, but totally worth it. Food is amazing. Best octopus I've ever had. Added acoustic treatments make a huge difference to the atmosphere. Great that they added an outdoor area.”

“Very cozy small kitchen with a gourmet flair on traditional Greek dishes everything was good totally recommend.”

“An outstanding Greek restaurant. Outstanding food and service. Everything we ordered was excellent and there were so many delicious items on the menu that I want to go back. Parking is a little tricky on Green Bay Road so leave some extra time for parking or use alternative transportation. An elegant dining experience that is perfect for a special occasion”
“It feels like I'm back in Greece. The squid is cooked very deliciously.”
“The restaurant has friendly staff, delicious food. The restaurant is clean and tidy, with a Greek atmosphere. Thank you to the owner for such a restaurant”
“We have great service everytime on Sundays and Nicolay is wonderful with his suggestions, best options and opinions. I say 5 stars on everything”
“We stopped in for lunch and enjoyed our visit, had our usual Greek favorites, tzatziki, spanakopita, calamari and small Greek salad. All dishes were very good with homemade vibe. We will definitely be back to try the main dishes for dinner. Nice ambience and great service.”
“Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with my wife. Great ambiance, nice decoration and bubbly on the house to start! First hot Spanakopita, delicious spinach, fresh herbs & feta cheese blend baked in phyllo crust. Followed by one of the best beet salads I had with roasted red & yellow beets, arugula, shaved pears, roasted pistachios, whipped feta cheese w/ citrus vinaigrette. The main courses were a Deconstructed Pastitsio (Greek pasta w/ braised short ribs in creamy tomato sauce) and Moussaka (layered baked eggplant, potato & spiced tomato-ground beef, topped w/ béchamel sauce). Both entrees were very nicely presented and tasted like more (although the portions are generous). We finished this dinner with a Rizogalo (Greek creamy rice pudding with a hint of cinnamon) and a double espresso. This was a wonderful dinner, great ambiance and the waiter Nikolai was the best! Thank you for a memorable Valentine’s dinner, this is a wonderful Greek taverna in walking distance, brings memories back from my time in Greece.”
