BenjYehuda - Madison (Ogilvie Train Station)
BenjYehuda at Ogilvie Train Station is a convenient West Loop stop for customizable, veggie-packed Mediterranean meals, with standouts including spicy falafel, gyro bowls, and chicken or steak shawarma bowls loaded with fresh salads and tahini. Regulars appreciate generous portions, reasonable prices, friendly service, and extended hours for commuter meals, though service can feel rushed or inconsistent and some diners find the meat or flavors underwhelming.

“I don’t even know where to begin! Every time I go to get a bowl once I get to the sauces I tell them just a little bit of sauce (because they drown it every time) and then they end up drowning my food in garlic and Taziki sauce! I literally can not taste anything but garlic! The gyro meat taste like it’s made of a whole garlic clove! I can’t even eat this! And this is coming from someone that loves a lot of sauce but this is nuts”
“I ordered from here twice before getting on the train. The food and price is better than I expected $6 for 8 falafels). The best item here is their spicy falafel. I'm vegetarian so I haven't tried their meat dishes but a good place for vegetarian food.”
“Great tasting healthy food along with friendly and helpful service at such a reasonable price! If you're looking for a meal loaded with veggies, not at ALL greasy, and made exactly the way you want... THIS IS THE PLACE! I am extremely happily stumbled across this gem in a food court of greasy fast food joints after walking around the Union Station area for 30 minutes looking for something I wouldn't regret. If you ever open up in the NYC area, you'll have a regular customer here, and I rarely eat out! For now, you'll definitely see me every time I am in Chicago. Thank you!”
“Wonderful people, food/ingredients, and prices. Thank you for being in business 🥰”
“Maybe I was just hangry but man this is so good and yummy. The people working there are super nice”
“I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl and the steak shawarma bowl. Both were delicious. I especially liked the variety of fresh salads and the portion size. and I plan to return soon. #tahiniislife”
“The city boasts numerous Mediterranean dining spots. For a speedy yet high-quality meal, Benjyehuda stands out. It provides an extensive selection of dishes with greater customization options compared to rivals. The Ogilvie location's extended hours make it a convenient choice for an after-work meal or a bite on your way home.”
“I can't get enough of the gyro bowl. Price is a bit more than I wanna spend on lunch, but with an extra pita, I can usually get 2 meals out of it.”
