“My girlfriend and I love sushi & this was the best we’ve had, period. We were welcomed and served a quite filling course of the freshest fish in various styles both traditional and designed by the very skilled chef. It was an incredibly enjoyable experience hearing about the sourcing and methods of all the nigiri & maki preparation, but above all it was absolutely delicious the whole way through. Highlight of the course for me was the A5 Wagyu nigiri and my girlfriend adored the King Salmon nigiri. Thank you to our chef for this wonderful experience!! Also, GORGEOUS ambiance. It looks like an abandoned storefront from the entrance but it’s an entirely different story once you go in.”

“Ive been to 3 Omakases one of which was in Japan. All were really really great but Kyoten Next Door was phenomenal. I not only left full (rarity for me 🫄🏻) but each course was unexplainably good and chef Jorge was funny, kind, and knowledgeable! Edit: the food was so good I had to go back with my friends. The new chef (Chef Mugi) is also just as kind, funny and humble. We had a very enjoyable time with him as well and the food was just as delicious! We did 2 bottle services and it was so good highly recommend doing some as well if you go can’t go wrong with choices and feel free to ask the host for recommendations. Definitely worth the money for the service and food you get. Finding the location was iffy at first because there’s no signs or anything and it looks like it’s abandoned but once you get in it’s super super nice and cozy. Will be going back for sure!”

“A very accessible offshoot of the flagship next door, in the sense of being at a very reasonable price point, and I'd say the course leans to the safe side with selection of fish, curing, etc. Like even if you haven't done omakase before, you could jump in here and you'll probably enjoy everything. Very nigiri-centric omakase course, and the sushi is well executed. It's nice that the chef engages the customers on preference for how much rice and wasabi. Cool to see the stylistic choice on thick-cut fish with some decorative knife work. Atmosphere is low key, comfortable, chill; not too formal, not too casual. Personal preference, I would have loved a piece or two with some stronger flavors, but that doesn't take away from an enjoyable experience.”

“The sushi is delicious - fish is fresh and served in generous portions. It’s not complicated or pretentious but it’s really good. Straightforward solid omakase. What really made our experience was Chef Mugi - he was so friendly and made us feel like we were having dinner at home with a friend.”

“Amazing experience. Each dish was so unique. The rice was worth the hype!”

“Amazing experience! Super high quality ingredients expertly prepared.”

“The sushi rice here is exceptional perfectly seasoned, gently warm, and balanced beautifully with each piece of fish. Simple, precise, and thoughtfully prepared. Tonight was also special for me. I brought my nephew, who once had a bad experience with sushi and stopped eating raw fish. But here, he tried it again and he loved it. Thank you for bringing his trust in sushi back.”

“My new fav omakase spot. I want the classics and I want them to be done amazingly well. This place did that. And hands down the best uni ever.”

“Unforgettable experience. Can’t wait to schedule our next visit!”

“The food here was delicious!! I’ve done a few omakases, but this was hands down one of the best. Just looking at the sushi you could tell it was high quality. They also cut generous pieces of all the fish. Mugi was our chef of the night and fantastic. He answered all our questions and made sure we satisfied throughout.”
