Located in a seemingly random suburban strip mall, one could easily overlook this place. Its service was attentive without being intrusive and its holiday decorations were festive. The food was mostly good except several pieces of sashimi were still frozen inside, which, for a Japanese restaurant, is not acceptable. Aside from one minor issue, ramen, maki rolls, and miso soup were all delicious. Definitely recommended. In two visits to this restaurant, they never brought out an appetizer ordered but charged both times. The way their staff handle these mistakes makes the customer feel as though they’re they are trying to pull a fast one. Really not cool.

We’ve been here a few times and the food, service, and atmosphere is always exceptional. The sushi is well made with fresh ingredients and feels light. We always top it off with the steak ramen, which has the perfect level of spice and leaves us satisfied without feeling full.

Easily my favorite restaurant in Glenview area. Ambience is just right, modern, comforting, and clean. Service is amazing as well, most importantly the food is great. Amazing hand rolls, specialty rolls, and noodles like ramen and udon. I love the variety and different things in the menu you can get. I come every two weeks or so and every time I try something new it is always amazing.

By far our favorite Japanese restaurant. They have a ton of sushi options but they also have a lot of non-sushi options so there is definitely something for everyone. The food is always delicious, and the hospitality is great! It appears to be family/locally owned, and our usual waiter Alex always provides us with a great experience.

Kyoto Garden was overall an enjoyable sushi night for us. The Poke Salad was well sized for two people & everything tasted very fresh. A very minor complaint is that the dressing was a bit watery & as such all resided in the bottom of bowl versus spread all over the various ingredients. The sushi rolls were good. Once again, a minor complaint, it would have been nicer if a bit more of the unique sauces central to each one was used or present on the plate. Presentation was good, flavor was good, & service was good. The only thing I can't recommend is an Old Fashioned cocktail, the drink showed up nearly clear & no where near how an Old Fashioned should taste. We will most likely visit Kyoto Garden again and hopefully, they will have perfected their art in all forms. Overall, I'd say 4.5 stars & very close to the last .5 if they can perfect the tiny flaws.

This place is amazing! Went with my friends for my birthday and the waiter was SO sweet and treated me like royalty🥰 All the food was amazing and its so cute inside. I cant have gluten, and they made everything GF! Will be going back for sure💕

The food delicious , sushi was very tasty . The desserts were pretty good . My family and I enjoyed the atmosphere here as well as the delicious sushi rolls . We got spicy salmon, spider roll ,caterpillar ,kamikaze ,chili mango . All very delicious .
