I’ve been looking for a really good sushi spot in Downtown Chicago, and Ryo Sushi checked every box. I’ve tried a few places in the area, but this one has been the best so far. The sushi was incredibly fresh, well made, and full of flavor. Friendly, attentive staff and great vibes. Highly recommended 💯

First time here and I totally agree with the reviews. My husband and I ordered the Chicago roll plus two others, and everything was delicious. The service was great and the sushi was amazing. Definitely a place worth visiting. 100% recommended!

We enjoyed everything we got here. We started with the Harumaki (spring rolls) - very good, perfectly oily but still somewhat light since they have a vegetable filling. For sushi we got a Philadelphia roll (with fresh salmon instead of smoked), a salmon roll, and a shrimp tempura roll. Salmon quality was great. Shrimp tempura roll was difficult to manage with how large each piece was, but it tasted very good.

I ordered the Volcano Roll and the Mountain Roll! I liked the second one better, the Volcano roll wasn’t bad but wasn’t interesting either! Too much sauce and blending salmon and tuna, i didn’t like the combined flavour! Service was great! They don’t have gluten-free options on the menu but if you ask they can remove some ingredients (the crunch for example) and make it gluten-free. They brought iced water by default, but replaced with hot water when i asked! The food presentation was interesting too! The interior isn’t the coziest, but a solid 4; clean with some good looking lights here and there!

During our stay in Chicago, this was probably the best value for our dollar for any meal that we got. The sushi is delicious, flavourful and filling. The gyoza especially was juicy and excellent. We also were served very quickly and with friendly service. Can’t remember the name of this combo but I would 10/10 recommend. For a place in one of Chicago’s most touristy areas, the quality and prices at Ryo are very impressive. Go here ASAP, you won’t be disappointed!

One of my favorite sushi places! Not only are the workers at Ryo Sushi incredibly nice, their food is also incredible. For such amazing food, the prices are also wonderful. Whenever I’m in town I make sure to stop by.
