“Chicago Ramen Annex hits the spot when seeking authentic Tonkatsu style Ramen. The broth is incredible with oo much garlic flavor and aroma. The whole place smells really pleasantly of broth and I absolutely loved the service. Chicago Ramen Annex in Schaumburg offers Jiro-style ramen, which is not commonly found in Chicago. Jiro ramen features a rich, garlicky broth with substantial toppings like chashu, cabbage, and bean sprouts. Appetizers come out quickly with both the Gyoza and Calamari friend to perfection. The Tonkatsu Ramen was delicious with the cuts of pork well seasoned and cooked they melt in your mouth. Noodles hold up to slurping. The Chicken Curry Kaarage was presented well, however expected a bit more punch from the curry sauce. Would definitely make the trek up again should I crave a decent Jiro style Ramen.”
