“Absolutely loved the thickness of the noodles and the Spicy Tsukemen broth was excellent”
Had a great time over here. Especially the service is impeccable. 10/10 must try!
I have been coming to the Schaumburg, Chicago Ramen Annex since I lived in Rolling Meadows.
Excellent ramen, very good gyoza. Unique flavors...kinda different than other ramen places but still enjoyable.
This is the best of local ramen that is drive worthy. Delicious every time, great service, relaxing environment.

“The BEST ramen branch I have ever eaten in Chicago!!”
The BEST ramen branch I have ever eaten in Chicago!!! Everything is so delicious, so fresh and the taste is immaculate. The ramen soup was so rich in flavor but was not too thick at all. Will absolutely come again 💯

“The jiro ramen here is homey and robust.”
The jiro ramen here is homey and robust. The broth is more savory than and not as salty as what you'd find in a tonkotsu broth (flavor wise it's actually a little like garlic bread). Adding the heaps of vegetables and huge cuts of chashu, the jiro ramen gave the impression of a dish you'd make at home, where one's focus is less on intense flavor and more on having a filling and tasty meal. I look forward to ordering the jiro again next winter.

Spectacular!!! The takoyako was superb - a well balanced concoction of flavors, The star of the show of our dinner adventure was the Spicy Red Miso Ramen. We love our Ramen and we travel a lot to sample the variety of ramen houses in the Chicagoland area. Having said that we have 3 different ramen places we consistently go back to fornour ramen fix. And then we tried the Chicago Ramen Annex in Schaumburg. Oh Em Gee! Did this set the bar so much higher! The broth is THICK and packs a powerful punch of flavors with every drop of soup in the bowl. The broth is where th magic is. The ramen noodles are pretty good (I am spoiled with Los Angeles' Shinsengumi's noodles that are flown in from Japan). The pork chashu was tender but somewhat lacked flavor. The broth, however, makes up for that. Our server was very attentive despite working all the tables by herself. The food was served sooner than expected and brought our table all at the same time - it was perfect!!!

As someone who doesn’t like to travel far for his food, this ramen spot is the EXCEPTION Seriously, Chicago ramen annex is better than most ramen places you’ll find (yes, even better than downtown) Personally, I had the beef curry with egg ramen & my fiance had the tsukemen (ramen you dip) Not only were they both extremely flavorful but the portions were huge (enough for us take home for a second meal) We will definitely be coming back again & again (they have more ramen options too!) Overall, the service was friendly & helpful. You could tell that locals love this place too. 10/10 you have to try this place

“Quick food and a decent price.”
Quick food and a decent price. It did get crowded at lunch time. Space for solo dining and groups. Ordered one of the Hakata Tonkatsu. My noodles were a bit under cooked, but still good.

“Was in search of warm delicious food on a late chilly evening with my friend and found it here.”
Was in search of warm delicious food on a late chilly evening with my friend and found it here. Food- Friend ordered the special hakata tonkatsu ramen at the recommendation of our host, where the broth was light but fatty flavorful, and just the right portion. I had the pork cutlet tonkatsu curry, which had great depth of flavor and cutlet was nice and fatty as well as crispy (almost a lil over on the fry). Paired with rice, curry was a nice warm hug. Ordered (2) peach oolong teas, which were refreshing and not too sweet. All together, 2 entrees (with added egg) and 2 drinks came out to a lil over $20 per person without tip-- reasonable. Service- Super friendly, helpful and accommodating. Answered all our questions about the menu. Chef also came out to check on us. Atmosphere- We came in on 9pm on a weekday so it wasn't busy. Lovely music, not too loud and was easy to hold a conversation. It's curious that there are so many branches of Chicago Ramen in this area, but honestly, not complaining. I will definitely be coming back to this location with others and am motivated to try the other branches as well.

Update. Back for the 2nd night. Love the Jiro Ramen with the really tasty fatty pork. It's so delicious! I am glad I ordered this. My original plan was to try the Beef Curry Ramen, which is what I will order next time (soon) I come back. They were so nice to give us a little taste of the curry, and it IS the best Japanese curry I've had, so far.
