I love this place. I drive 25 minutes to come get my favorite dish~ Farfalle with Salmon. I have never had a bad experience or bad meal. Lovely family owned business I hope stays around for another 30 years!

A fabulous Italian outing! Trattoria Demi transports you to the cobblestone streets of Italy with its interior decoration and cozy atmosphere. The servers were extremely friendly and helpful. Also, if you’re a Northwestern student, show your student ID for 10% off your entree! We got their best seller, the asiago stuffed gnocchi, and the rigatoni primavera for our mains along with a basket of bread. The bread was warm and delicious with bright olive oil and salted butter. The gnocchi was topped with a crispy chicken parm, the sauce was so rich and smooth, and the gnocchi pillows were incredibly soft and bouncy. The rigatoni was seasoned well and very light. For your birthday, the desserts are half off, so we finished our meal with the limóncello créme brule. It had a strong lemon flavor, and the custard was the perfect consistency. Trattoria Demi is the ideal place for a delicious meal for a reasonable price and large portions!

My coworker and I went there for lunch today. It was excellent! I had the Italian sub from the lunch menu. It was probably the best I've ever had! My coworker had the meatball sandwich. He said it was really good. Prices were reasonable and the portions were bigger than expected for a lunch menu item. Service was speedy. I highly recommend and personally plan to go back again the next time I'm in the area!

TRATTORIA DEMI On a recent trip to Chicago, my daughter and I decided to stay in a suburban hotel in Evanston. It was located a short distance from Wilmette where we had lived for some 20 years. After a nostalgic visit reviving memories from the past we returned to our hotel and decided to find a local restaurant to have lunch at. A few blocks from the hotel we spotted what appeared to be a quaint Italian Restaurant called Trattoria Demi. As we entered, the aroma of Italian food and the atmosphere seemed to indicate we had made a good choice. Having spent time in Italy during my military career, I was well versed in Italian food but especially pasta choices. We both decided on the Bucatini with Broccoli. Our server displayed great customer service as he scurried from table to table serving dinners. When our lunch arrived, we were both impressed with the presentation and the salad that came with the pasta. It was definitely “Al dente” and so flavorful we jokingly talked about extending our stay so we could eat there again. This small but intimate restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip.
