The absolute best of the old school Italian restaurants in Chicago! My family ate here on Christmas Day and I think every single person that worked there stopped to wish us a Merry Christmas, they seemed genuinely happy that we were there. The servings are indeed huge, be prepared to take home leftovers. But the food is fresh and delicious. We all loved our meals including the HUGE slice of Christmas cake. A definite must-visit if you want a classic Chicago Italian restaurant experience with the kindest service in town.

My boyfriend and I came here last night and had the most fabulous experience. The service was impeccable and the food was phenomenal. Every person working was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was also lovely! The renovations are beautiful. We got the bruschetta, nonna’s gravy, spinach, chicken marsala, and banana cream pie. I would order everything again and will soon!

He genuinely cares for his customers and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and valued. The food at Rosebud on Taylor is exceptional!! If you visit, do yourself a favor and ask for Mladen or make sure you are introduced to him. I promise, his service will elevate your entire dining experience and make it unforgettable. I use to come to Chicago on business years ago and always loved to eat at Rosebuds. This time I came as a tourist with my daughter and was so thrilled that my favorite restaurant was still here. My daughter always heard the stories of this fantastic food and she finally got to experience it for herself. Rosebuds did not disappoint! The food amazing, the staff fantastic and special thank you to the management for making our time there so special celebrating my birthday. Can't wait to come back, this time it won't be so long between visits. 🥰

Came here with a friend for dinner and drinks and it was a great experience all around. The bartender was excellent and our drinks were on point. We shared the meatballs (filling and delicious) and the chopped breaded eggplant salad was huge and perfectly done. Cozy, intimate vibe that’s great for date night. Loved the baby grand piano, though there wasn’t live music the Wednesday we visited.

The staff from our waitress to the manager made us feel like family. I can't recommend this place enough. We will be back!

So the food here was amazing, the service is outstanding but keep in mind there is a dress code when you go in, and the Atmosphere was superb! Our Host name was John I believe and he was amazing he also said that he was from Indiana, witch happened to be where we where visiting from. I highly recommend this place.

Ok guys, hear me out…. PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST HAPPY HOURS IN CHICAGO! The happy hour menu is attached. Sliders were absolutely delicious! The fries…. 🤤 the burrito… spicy and delicious! The crispy Brussel sprouts were not crispy, so if you love crispy, ask for them if they can make sure they’re crispy. The flavor of them were delicious! You literally can not go wrong with the 5 bucks deal! The location is fantastic! Downtown Chicago, can’t ask for a better location! Definitely coming back! The service was great! Very attentive!

“Hands down some of the best Italian you will get.”

Hands down some of the best Italian you will get. Sat at the Frank Sinatra table where he used to sit along with Tom Hanks. A lot of cool history to the place and overall a atmosphere that brings you back in time. One of many reviews, but worth the positive review.

Stopped here while on a work trip and during the Italian Festival on Taylor Street! The items on the special menu all sounded good. I had Grandma’s Gravy and it was delicious! I would like to come back and sit in the dining room, looked very classy and old school inside. They had the street blocked off and seating outside. It was a fun atmosphere!

We had never been to this location, only Rosebud on Rush St. We were missing out. This is some of the best Italian you will have in Chicago. The atmosphere is perfect, food was excellent and the service was impeccable. Very friendly staff that makes you feel welcome. We will be back.
