Palermo's of 63rd Pizza and Restaurant — italian in Brighton Park; the Pizza is the highlight. No frills and no gimmicks, just a solid honest room. Good service that doesn't feel rehearsed. Rich Calhoun: "Somehow the crust is always crispy yet flaky/doughy, and just filling enough"

“This place is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Italian classics in a laid-back, welcoming environment”
Pizza is good but not 5$50 for one pepperoni pizza with minimum pepperoni.
Its MID (2star/5star) stop over hyping it. sauce on sweet unseasoned for me it’s horrible.
I had called to order delivery of a margarita pizza and the “calamari dinner”.

“Went in here for pizza and loved the whole experience.”
Went in here for pizza and loved the whole experience! The owner and staff were very welcoming and the service was great. The pizza was fantastic.. I can’t get enough of that sweet garlicky sauce that they use. All the ingredients were fresh and the amount of cheese on the pizza was just perfect. 👌🏼

“First time trying Palermo's on 63rd st.”
First time trying Palermo's on 63rd st. tonight. Came in from Colorado Springs to see the Hawks play my AVS. Had to try Palermo's. Read many positive reviews, so i had to try it myself. Outstanding Chicago thin crust pizza. Highly recommend if you're ever on the South side near Midway airport.

“Palermo's of 63rd is a true gem from the past, serving up classic Italian comfort with a chill, nostalgic vibe.”
Palermo's of 63rd is a true gem from the past, serving up classic Italian comfort with a chill, nostalgic vibe. Walking in, you can immediately feel the timeless charm of this place, with its cozy, unpretentious atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and enjoy your meal. I ordered the Cheese Ravioli, and let me tell you—it was nothing short of incredible. Each ravioli was generously stuffed with velvety, creamy cheese that oozed with every bite, creating this perfect, rich texture. The pasta itself was cooked to perfection—soft and tender with just the right amount of bite, making each forkful a delightful experience. The real magic, though, was in the sauce. It had a unique sweetness, almost like a slow-cooked, tomato-rich marinara that had been simmering for hours, deepening in flavor. The slight sweetness of the sauce paired with the creamy, savory cheese filling was an irresistible combination, creating layers of flavor that had me savoring every mouthful. Each bite felt comforting, like a warm hug on a plate, with a flavor profile that was balanced and deeply satisfying. If you're thinking of visiting on a Friday, keep in mind that while it might not be packed for dine-in, it’s a popular night for takeout, so be prepared for a little wait. But trust me, the food is absolutely worth it! This place is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Italian classics in a laid-back, welcoming environment. I can't wait to go back!

“Always my favorite.”
Always my favorite. The sauce can't be beat, and it tastes just like I remember it - hard to find pizza places that haven't skimped on quality especially after COVID. I have been eating here my entire life and just got the opportunity to bring my husband to eat here. He is from the North Side and never believed me that there are great places like this farther south. He said he liked it very much and I couldn't be happier to show North Siders the light. Our server, Lily, was pure positive energy and a delight on all accounts.

Saw a clip on IG about Palermo's of 63rd, figured we'd stop in the next time we were in the city. Definitely worth the 45 minute ride from the MCACN show! Classic styling building, neat family photos of the owners history on the walls, and great atmosphere. Figured we would sample a few items, and it was definitely a good choice! The tomato sauce has a slight sweet and oregano taste, excellent fresh and reheated! Cheese Ravioli was excellent, as was the Classic and deep-dish pizza. Italian Beef sandwich was good reheated 2 days later, even without the au-ju. We will definitely be back with family the next time we come to Chicago!

“I'm not from Chicago, I was out for a walk and stumbled upon this place.”
I'm not from Chicago, I was out for a walk and stumbled upon this place. It reminded me of a classic Italian eatery from the movies. The stuffed cheese sticks weren't cheese sticks, They were cheese logs! HUGE... and the marinara sauce with them was incredible. The stuffed shells with vodka sauce and chicken were incredible! Also had the thin crust pizza with Canadian bacon and pineapple. It was excellent! Lily was our server, she was so cute and helpful.

We came here after the original restaurant we wanted to eat at was full and didnt wanna go to some tourist trap downtown. You know you've struck gold when you find an old Italian restaurant owned by the same guy since its inception decades ago and he comes out and greets his patrions, thick accent and all! The interior is old and vintage (adds to the charm!) and the walls are full of autographed photos of random and obscure Bears players and celebrities who have dined here through the years. The food is amazing!! So worth driving a half hour out of the way for. He also gave us the bill on a hand written ticket 😂 and gave us free dessert. this is everything I could ever want in a restaurant. This is exactly how it should be done. The one drawback is the price. Be prepared to open your wallet here because it is not cheap. It was 100% worth it to us, but it was the most expensive restaurant we have ever eaten at for 2 people and an appetizier. Totally understand with this economy and all, but something worth noting! Thanks for an amazing meal!!!

“Amazing food and fantastic service.”
Amazing food and fantastic service! If you are in Chicago I would highly recommend you dropping buy! Will be going again on my next visit. Pizza bread appetizer melts in the mouth, chicken Alfredo is simply devine, service is second to none, our server was friendly and helpful without being in your face but always there when needed.
