Total: $12.95 for an italian beef meal +.40 additional for a large drink upcharge +.40 additional for a large fry upcharge +.90 additional for cheese on fries upcharge Totalling: $16.22 after tax 2 people inside reading the paper on this Sunday afternoon at Tony’s on Pulaski. Excellent service from the staff. The total for a large cheese fry, beef with no peppers, no cheese and a large diet RC was pretty reasonable in 2025 at $16.22 after tax and before credit card fee (2.55% fee making it $16.63 total). Clean and well kept interior, menu signage covers the wall in prices and options. WOW! The thin sliced beef is perfectly tender and full of flavor! You can see the sheets of thinly sliced beef still intact and without ruberiness! I am quite happy and pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of their beef! Worth the 45 minute drive for the beef alone. The roll held up extremely well for being dipped, it provided no off flavors in the after taste, and still had a little chew left. Cheese fries were amazing and well salted Overall it’s pretty much a 5 star experience!

I drove in from the northwest suburbs to try Tony’s Italian Beef. Wow, it’s the real deal! The service was super friendly and fast, and the Italian beef sandwich… wow. Juicy, flavorful, and just hits the spot. Definitely makes my top five Italian beef spots in the Chicagoland area. If you’re a fan of Italian beef, this place needs to be on your list.

Been wanting to try this place and it did not disappoint. Service was great and waiting time isn’t long, I would definitely recommend the Italian beef combo, and the Mexican grilled chicken sandwich if you’re looking for something more spicy. Overall fantastic experience and I highly recommend coming to Tony’s.

So, I went into Tony’s Beef With high hopes, and I’m happy to report I was not disappointed. A generous portion of Italian Beef with House made giardiniera generously baptized. Despite the fact that it was stomping busy, the owner took time to answer a few of my questions and you could tell he really enjoyed the work that he was doing. My only complaint, and it’s not really a serious complaint, is that you put your own giardiniera on the beef. I’m getting older and my hands are not as steady as they used to be so it was a little messy for me, But that’s kind of the signature Feature of an Italian beef anyway… So it was all good

For a TOP TIER italian beef this is the place. Been coming here for years, moved away, am back now quality has remained the same. There is point where "who has the best beef in Chicago" comes down to person preference. Tonys still remains in the conversation. It is as good as anyone else out there. Never had a burger but someone was eating one, looked excellent. What brought me in was, I heard online that their Breaded Steak sandwich beats Ricobene's...it's true. It is stellar. Also, it IS ENORMOUS. What i love about this place is, despite being busy, the staff seemingly takes a moment to acknowledge you on a human level. Alexandria behind the counter was lovely. Everyone else behind the counter took a moment to say hi and make sure that my order was exactly to my specifications and assuring accuracy. It makes you feel special and part of something. More than just a stranger grabbing a sandwich. They are paying attention and taking pride to their task. Seems like their heart is into what they're doing. I like that. It's an art to customer service that is all about lost in this day and age. The beef is always tender and seasoned well. My breaded steak tasted to have REAL seasoning. The red sauce is more than just something out of some can. They don't huff and puff at you for asking for the peppers on the side. The bread was fresh. I forgot, they have a pretty extensive breakfast menu that I'm sure beats Mc-whatever it is. Burgers, Fish, Chicken...you name it. I regret not getting Alexandria phone number or Instagram. Please is neat, tidy, and has an old school feel. You know they're not new to this...

I don't think there is a better place on earth to get Italian Beef. These guys have been here and figured it out. Great flavor, huge mess, exactly what I am looking for. I try to make it over to Tony's every time I'm in Chicago, and they haven't let me down once in 10+ trips.
