“They’ve revamped and it’s incredible! Even thought they were so busy, service was great. Their take on classic cocktails is amazing. Loved the funghi pizza! Burrata was bomb! And that dessert platter holy moly! @chicagopescetarian”

“Lovely brunch menu over the weekend with various options from steak&egg, chop salads to nutritious soup. We really appreciated Marcie who didn’t waste a second from when she showed up at work to help find us a table on a very busy morning.”

“After arrived at the restaurant, we learned that the rooftop will open next week. We ended up sitting outdoors and had a great meal. We ordered the Tuscan Fries, Mushroom Bianca, and Burrata & Prosciutto, and all of them were really good. However, the Caprese Ravioli was not up to the mark. For cocktails, we tried the Diabolik and Americano Curiosa, and both were excellent.”

“Excellent breakfast! It’s a very nice restaurant with good value for food that’s delicious, well prepared with quality ingredients. The egg florentine comes with not one but two eggs. And the avocado toast also comes with two eggs. I recommend this place and will return.”

“Me encanto todo la comida delociosa muy mediterranea estilo europeo . El ambiente relajado acogedor. El servicio excelente.”

“I dined at La Bella Trattoria for my solo trip into the city because of their Christmas Eve speciality menu. Sebastian was my server, and he was absolutely the best: very attentive, helped me decide on a couple of menu items, and very kind. All staff members I interacted with were also nice and friendly. The food, as I kept saying throughout the meal, was fantastic. All dishes were flavorful and filling. I'm so glad I tried this place and menu out. I'll have to stop in on a non-holiday someday.”

“Great little Italian restaurant two blocks from the CIBC theater. Perfect spot for pre-show dinner. The ambience is cozy & warm and service was outstanding. We had the Caesar salad salad, which was very good and mushroom pizza with white sauce was fantastic! Cocktails were excellent as well. La Bella Trattoria is in the Kimpton Grey Hotel with a street side entrance. They do excellent job servicing theater goers/locals as well as the tourists. We’ll definitely be back!”

“What a place, what a team! Our party of six, on vacation in Chicago, wanted Italian food. We picked La Bella Trattoria but had trouble booking a reservation for six. We then booked two reservations for groups of three. When we arrived we explained to the host our desire to combine our groups. The manager Guy stepped in to take charge and said he would find us space. We were quickly seated at a large table near the kitchen. We had a great view of the action in the kitchen. Our server, Roberto, took great care of us. Water, drinks, our orders, everything. Roberto suggested we get a bottle of wine to save money because if the number of glasses we were getting. He also brought us an order of meatballs, on the house, while we decided on our food. Roberto also had the kitchen make a side salad for me even though it was not on the menu. The food was wonderful. Portion sizes were perfectly sized. And oh so very tasty. We all enjoyed our entrees and our deserts. From spaghetti and meatballs, penne arrabbiata, ravioli with steak, a meatball sandwich, chicken Alfredo, lemoncillo cake, cannolis, sorbet to, and dessert wine. From top to bottom we were taken care of like family. I plan on coming again the next time I am in Chicago. Thank you.”

“You need to go here if you're ever in Chicago. Amazing food. The calamari was excellent, perfectly cooked, not over done. Lamb chops were excellent, penne pasta was very spicy but also flavorful, everything out group had was excellent. Val the server was attentive and entertaining without being overbearing. 10/10 recommend.”

“Went here on Tuesday for my birthday dinner. The food was really good especially the crispy ravioli. I got coffee because it was so cold out and it was perfect. My brother also got an espresso martini and said it was amazing. Had their tiramisu for desert and it was perfect. A bit pricey but worth it.”

“This review reflects the exceptional commitment this restaurant demonstrates in creating memorable experiences. Their attention to detail was evident from the moment we made our reservation, during which we included a small note indicating that the dinner was for our engagement. Upon arrival we were seated promptly, and Marcus provided exemplary service throughout the evening. He offered thoughtful accommodations, including a serving of pesto to accompany our bread appetizer, which added a refined touch to the start of our meal. The fig plum prosciutto pizza was outstanding and generously portioned, easily shared between the two of us. As a final gesture, we were presented with complimentary champagne and chocolate cake, both of which were thoroughly enjoyed and deeply appreciated. Although we were simply guests, the staff made us feel truly celebrated on our engagement day. The experience was exceptional in every respect.”
