The star of the show was that crust. Crispy on the outside with just the right bite, it holds up great and adds a ton of flavor instead of being an afterthought. You can tell they really dialed it in. You can really taste the high quality ingredients DD’s uses. there’s real care and passion behind the pizza. It’s really good pizza made by people who clearly love what they’re doing.

“Holy smokes, this place is UNREAL.”

Holy smokes, this place is UNREAL! This is hands-down some of the best pizza I have ever had in Chicago, or anywhere for that matter. The crust absolutely perfect, razor thin and crispy just like it should be. Cheese, sauce and toppings are all perfect perfectly balanced to round out the incredible flavor. It may be from the new school, but tastes like it's been on the scene for decades. I highly highly recommend DD's! I already can't wait to go back.

I ordered delivery tonight and just had to write a review. For one, the customer service on social media is incredible — they answered all my countless questions and even gave me a first time discount. I went with the S.O.B. and Veggie with pepperoni added. I love the ethos behind this spot (no seed oils and high-quality ingredients). I’ll definitely order here again (it beats out Zarella by far, which is another popular tavern style pizza spot in the River North neighborhood). My one request… please add a homemade ranch to the menu. :)

Just tried DD’s Pizza and WOW, easily one of the best tavern-style pizzas I’ve had in Chicago. The crust is super thin and perfectly crispy, the sauce-to-cheese ratio is spot on, and every bite hits just right. We got the Roni Riot with hot honey and a classic sausage, and both were incredible. It was ready super fast and they even brought it out to our car with ordering pickup. Bonus points that they don’t use seed oils. Definitely adding this to our regular rotation!

🔥🔥🔥 If you’re a fan of Vito & Nick’s you’re going LOVE DD’s! I ordered two different pies ; 1.classic pepperoni with pineapple and 2.classic sausage (Both well done). Both pies were FIRE! Paper thin cracker crust, well Done undercarriage, and charred parm around the edges that added extra elements of salty and crunchy you didn’t know you needed 🤩. I was disappointed with the skimpy amount of pineapple on the pine and pep, but overall, the he pie was hot, the ingredients were fresh and I WILL be back!

In a city that has a new tavern style spot popping up every week, DDs stands out from the crowd. The crust is super thin, crunchy and crispy, just as tavern style should be. The Roni Riot pizza was outstanding with tons of little pepperonis. Need it again ASAP!!

Solid thin crust pizza- up there with some of the best in the city. Super thin cracker crust, quality ingredients, good sauce,nice and toasty around the edges with toppings all the way to the edge. Great addition to the area, They were out of sausage, so I’ll definitely be back to try that- if it’s a nice fennel-y one, I’ll probably make this my pizza pickup of choice. Hope they make a larger 16”+ size one day!
