I had an amazing time at omo restaurant. The food was delectable. You honestly can’t go wrong. I would highly recommend the lamb tortellini. The sauce is amazing and each bite is filled with cheesy Italian perfection. I also learned that all the pasta is fresh and made in-house daily. they have a small cocktail selection, but also includes a bar on site so I’m sure you can get any mixed drink of your liking. Highly recommend for those Italian food lovers or just anyone who’s looking for a nice meal with some good vibes in the heart of downtown Chicago.

I had great dining experience at Ummo! The warm bread with truffle butter was absolutely addictive, rich and aromatic. Pasta was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The highlight? Their tiramisu shaped like a coffee bean both beautiful and delicious. A beautiful spot full of arts and cozy. Overall, a fantastic meal with thoughtful presentation and great service. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love this restaurant! Came here for the first time today and for a special occasion (my birthday). Everything was absolutely amazing, well presented, and prepared. Our Waiter, Alex C., gave us a break down of everything, recommended some favorites, and constantly checked in. I was very shy but he definitely made me feel comfortable. We’ll have to visit again! The second you walk through the doors you’re greeted with an atmosphere that’s chic, stylish, and buzzing with energy, yet still warm and inviting. It’s the kind of venue that’s as perfect for an elevated dinner as it is for a lively night out, and it transitions seamlessly between both. What really stood out to me, though, wasn’t just the incredible setting or even the fantastic food and drinks—it was the people who made the night unforgettable. Wendy was absolutely phenomenal taking care of us upstairs at the club. She balanced attentiveness and professionalism with genuine warmth, making us feel like VIPs the entire evening. From her spot-on recommendations to the way she made sure everything was handled before we even had to ask, Wendy delivered the kind of service that you rarely experience anymore. She was a huge part of why the night felt so special, and I honestly can’t thank her enough. I also want to give a huge shout-out to Rafael, the security guard. Too often people overlook the team working behind the scenes to keep everyone safe and comfortable, but Rafael went above and beyond. He wasn’t just professional—he was kind, approachable, and made us feel completely taken care of. It’s rare to see someone in his position handle the job with such respect and charisma. He kept the atmosphere fun and secure, and you could tell he genuinely cared about the guests’ experience. People like him make a massive difference, and he absolutely deserves recognition. Of course, the food and drinks at UMMO lived up to every bit of the hype. The pastas were silky, perfectly al dente, and bursting with flavor, while the wood-fired dishes carried that deep, smoky richness that makes you want to savor every bite. Even the small plates and sides were thoughtfully executed. The cocktail program was equally impressive—creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. Each drink felt like it was crafted with intention, not just thrown together. But what makes UMMO truly shine is the consistency across the board. Every detail, from the music and lighting to the timing of the courses, felt carefully curated to create the perfect vibe. It’s rare to find a spot that nails both the dining and nightlife aspects, but UMMO does exactly that—it’s a restaurant, lounge, and club experience all rolled into one unforgettable night. Chicago is known for its incredible food scene, but UMMO has carved out its own lane as a place that’s more than just dinner or drinks—it’s a full experience. Thanks to amazing people like Wendy and Rafael, it’s also a place that makes you feel taken care of in a way that goes far beyond the ordinary. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Between the food, the drinks, the atmosphere, and above all the people, UMMO is easily one of the best spots in Chicago. I’m already looking forward to going back and bringing friends to share in the experience.

Fantastic dinner & drinks! Got the espresso martini which was rated Best Espresso Martini 2024 on TimeOut Chicago website and totally worth the hype. We had Emiliano as our waiter, who was also the bartender: attentive service and great attitude. Highly recommend Ummo.

UMMO was a good dining experience! We started with some creative cocktails at the bar, then enjoyed the fire-roasted oysters, Battuta di Manzo, and Ravioli di Aragosta al Nero di Seppia—all of which were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For dessert, the tiramisu was perfectly rich and decadent, rounding out the meal wonderfully. The atmosphere is sleek and modern, and the service was attentive and welcoming throughout the evening. UMMO is a must-visit for anyone seeking elevated Italian-inspired cuisine in Chicago.
