The 'Wise Guy' sandwich was excellent! Loaded with meat, cheese & fresh fixings. Reminiscent of an old time delicatessen. Chili was mild but very flavorful.

My first deepdish pizza experience, and fontano's folks made me feel like i was just part of the neighborhood. We got a 10" pie and an eggplant parmesan sub among the 4 of us. you have to have a side of their giardiniera too. All very tasty!It's a short walk from the Art Institute Museum , so super convenient for tourists to try the Chicago staple. Thanks for your great hospitality and good food! (And FYI, you gotta ask for the key to the bathroom)

The staff were very helpful in finding the things I needed and the food was very very tasty. If you are craving some Chicago pizza then this is the place to go. The view is very nice and the atmosphere was top notch, it felt local and like it had a nice backstory.

Goated spot. The deep dish pizza is amazing and, if you get it by the slice, you can get in in a minute or two instead of waiting 45 minutes - 1 hour, which is the norm at other deep dish places like Giordano’s. Also the staff are the kindest people ever!

If you’re hungry, and in the area, you must stop by Fontano’s. The staff is extremely friendly. The food is really good. Different experience on how you order and get your food, but it works well. Very casual easy spot. The food is high-quality and very good. There’s indoor and outdoor seating and the prices are very fair. If you’re in the area like I said, definitely make a trip in and try it out. Also the Italian ice is a great dessert.
