Excellent mid-sized pizzas. We ordered the "Carne" and the "Walk in the Woods" pizzas with gluten-free crust. Both of those choices had riveting flavors, distinct and delicious. The gluten free crust was perhaps the best we have had. In our experience gluten free pizza crusts are generally not that great. This was great. We thought it had the right combination of crunch and doughiness. Our only critique is that the $4 extra charge for this kind of crust seemed a bit excessive. The restaurant itself seems very nice and has good views of the canal. The takeout window is just down the hall from the entrance. The canal location puts Robert's slightly off the beaten path. We ordered take-out and were close, so we walked there. As a result, I am not sure what parking would be like. The staff was responsive and quick. Everything was ready for our pick-up ahead of time. We have eaten a lot of great Chicago pizza over the years. Robert's rates for us. We will be back.

Came for restaurant week and had a really great experience. Food and service was really good, and amazing value for restaurant week. Loved the mussels, burrata, and the funghi pizza was phenomenal. The cocktails on the other hand could have been a little better, but I’ll definitely return for the food.

Love this place! Nestled along an inlet of the lake in River East, Robert's offers great pizza with a good location! Ordering for take-out was easy as well. Really liked the thickness of the crust outer layer combined with a thinner base layer. Side salads (Caesar and Italian) were really good as well. Great pizza spot!

I am so confused how I have visited Chicago so many times and have never had Robert's! I'm from the Northeast, so I tend to be picky about my pizza. Each time I'm in Chicago I give another pizza place a try and am never impressed. Robert's has changed that! I will certainly have Robert's again. My daughers and I gobbled up a pie in ten minutes I swear. The ranch .. to die for. We had it door dashed and we received it in less than 45 minutes from order to door. It was fresh, hot, and yummy.

Holly molly, seasonal pizza is amazing! The Nutcracker, a seasonal pizza, was particularly delightful. I’m a big fan of Roberts and wish they had the pizza available until January. :( Seafood pizza was my fave one and this seasonal one is my fave now!!!

“Beautiful views of the water from this great restaurant.”

Beautiful views of the water from this great restaurant. The staff was friendly, and helpful. They gave good suggestions for what to eat. The biggest problem with this restaurant is that the bathroom is a long wall from the restaurant. Overall, this is a great place to eat. If you enter from the street, follow signs down the stairs to the left. There is also a lift for wheelchairs.

Fantastic pizza and an overall wonderful experience. The owner stopped by each table and spoke with everyone. That day he arranged for Christmas Carolers who also stopped by each table and sang per your request. They were indescribably good. It's my new place to eat. Thank you Roberts.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was a perfect 10/10. I especially loved the Christmas decorations. Our server was attentive, friendly, and helpful with some drink suggestions. They checked on us at just the right times and genuinely seemed to care about our dining experience, which is increasingly rare these days. Now, for the main event: the pizza. And specifically, the gluten-free pizza. As someone who frequently struggles to find a truly great GF crust, I was absolutely delighted. This wasn't the dry, cracker-like base I'm used to; it was airy and perfectly chewy. Every ingredient seemed fresh and high-quality. I think this is the best gluten-free pizza I have ever had out at a restaurant. I ordered the Rita with GF crust and definitely recommend it.

We were able to snag a late night reservation at Robert’s and it was delicious. One pizza and an app was plenty of food for 2 of us. Delicious pizza and app. Cocktail was very pricey, and it was busy so it was hard to snag our waiter’s attention. But great seat along the river.

“Came to Chicago for business.”

Came to Chicago for business. Randomly stumbled upon this place walking the River walk. The service was great and the Pizza was Honeslty a 10/10. We also got the house made ranch to dip the crust in. I know sounds super fat but trust me it will be worth it. Looking forward to coming back when in town again. Really solid establishment!

What a gem!! Love Robert's Pizza. Great Pizza, Great Atmosphere, Great Location. Could not have had a better experience at Robert's...Robert's 100% delivers on there pizza game, there crust is melt in mouth good perfect bite with the right amount of chew some of the best in city! We ordered one cheese pizza, and one mushroom pizza, Perfect amount of cheese and sauce they have outdoor seating right off the river it’s so beautiful definitely will be back! 100% recommend!

The mushroom, cheese, tomato sauce pizza was absolutely delicious! Also, the price of the pizza was fairly reasonable. My husband and I paid $22 for eight slices, which is a steal. Even though the pizza crust was burned, it still tasted amazing! We didn't dine in, so I can't speak to the service or ambiance.
