Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse — high-caliber italian in River North. The kind of spot that earns loyalty, not hype. Good cocktails round out an already strong menu. Nick Figura: "The steak was spot-on: juicy, tender, and cooked exactly as requested"

“We ordered cocktails that were perfectly mixed, and then dove into steaks and a couple of sides (all à la carte)”
I came with a party who came to visit and was looking for a more affordable steakhouse downtown.

“This food was amazing.”
This food was amazing. I have celiac disease and they handled it amazingly. I had some of the best gf pasta I've ever had and had some amazing steak. They were very knowledgeable about celiac. I whould really suggest it. They also have some really cool cubs memorabilia.

We had a late lunch/early dinner and I would still recommend a reservation. Steak was cooked to perfection. Great appetizers and dessert. We appreciated the staff allowing us not to be rushed, yet still be attentive.

““Hello Again Everybody!” One of my all-time favorite Chicago restaurants.”
“Hello Again Everybody!” One of my all-time favorite Chicago restaurants. Harry Caray was a legendary voice of MLB — St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago White Sox, and of course my beloved Chicago Cubs — and this restaurant pays great tribute to that legacy. The downtown Kinzie location consistently delivers an outstanding experience. They pour an excellent Maker’s Mark Old Fashioned, and the food is top-notch: some of the best calamari, Steaks, a fantastic bone-in ribeye, chops, epic mac & cheese, key lime pie, and plenty more worth trying. The bar here is one of my favorites in the city. I even watched a game during the 2016 World Series here, and it was an epic night. Between the great food, excellent service, and atmosphere, this place is one of my must-visit spots in Chicago. I make a point to eat here almost every time I’m in town, and I bring family whenever they visit. Truly a favorite. Make a reservation or grab a seat at the bar — you’ll feel like a local.

“Visited Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse earlier this week and had an absolutely stellar experience.”
Visited Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse earlier this week and had an absolutely stellar experience. Right when we walked in, we were greeted by walls packed with memorabilia from all the famous folks who’ve visited—definitely sets a fun, nostalgic tone. We were seated quickly and served fresh rolls to start, which were warm and crusty, a great way to kick things off. We ordered cocktails that were perfectly mixed, and then dove into steaks and a couple of sides (all à la carte). The steak was spot-on: juicy, tender, and cooked exactly as requested. Sides complemented the meal nicely—generous portions and full of flavor. Service was friendly and attentive without ever feeling rushed. Our server checked on us just enough, and made some good recommendations for both drinks and sides. Throughout the night, everything was spotless, and the ambiance was relaxed and comfortable. Even though the restaurant was busy, the noise level was low enough that we could actually have a conversation without shouting. Overall, Harry Caray’s is a classic spot that delivers on both food and experience. Highly recommend for a special night out.

This restaurant transcends the realm of critique; it defines the standard to which others aspire. To forgo their cuisine is not their loss, but yours. Will not visit Chicago without enjoying a meal here!

“Cubs fan or a baseball fan Harry’s is a must see place.”
Cubs fan or a baseball fan Harry’s is a must see place. Nestled downtown just north of the river in a bustling area. A true baseball museum with good Italian fare, the menu hasn’t changed in 38 years. You never know who you’ll run into while you’re there so keep your eyes open and checkout the crowd.
