“Business advertised $5 don julio shots and $5 tacos. Upon arriving we was charged $40 for two don julio shots. When addressing the bartender about this she became agitated and upset that their business false advertised and that we called them out on it. This is unacceptable as a business you should do right by your patrons. They also blocked my on instagram due to me calling them out lol.”
“Staff was great! Bartenders were friendly and efficient. Space just felt a bit lonely and empty. I would recommend a better dj area or seating arrangement - something has to be changes to give a fuller appearance. Los K-Broz were scheduled to perform, and they did - at 0800pm - when the place was pretty empty. Promoters should've done a better job at announcing show time, as most times groups wont play until midnight, once the location is more full. Needs to improve their marketing. The location itself was cute, until I entered the bathroom. The main bathroom by dance floor is poorly lit, and was not stocked with TP. It's a club I get it, but also, it's the little things, and it was NOT busy at all. Just seemed like they didn't have a maintenance person. The bathroom in front of club appeared to be staff locker - very tight area, very messy, so rude for employees if this is where they store their personal items - do better for your employees.”
“Food and drinks were amazing and the service was outstanding. Decor and restrooms could be better, but this is a newer establishment so it’s understandable. Our server and host Bill was exceptional. Bill constantly checked in on us and provided great recommendations. We were well fed and provided great drinks. The $60 all you can eat and drink promotion was true to its name and I highly recommend you check this place out. We will be returning soon.”
“Great start to my week in Chicago. After a long flight into Chicago, I was able to find Akilia near my hotel. The owners were amazing, ensuring I was able to grab a delicious late night meal, asada tacos. The food was delicious, I'll definitely be back!”

“I feel it' necessary to give credit where credit is due. I had an event here yesterday and I must say, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Im sorry that I am so bad with names but from the time I spoke on the phone with one of the owners, to setting up and meeting the staff at the front door, everything was EXCEPTIONAL. The server who helped me decorate (sorry I forgot your name, aaahhhhh) was AMAZING!!!! I know drinks and stuff may be a little on the pricier side but if u want to have a great time where the entire staff is one of a kind, Akilia Cosina is the place. I literally need to go back and tip everyone indivually for a job well done!!! I hope this business continues to prosper. I've never had an experience like this where everyone made sure my entire party was happy and satisfied!! I will definitely be back again!!!! I can literally write an essay about this place, especially for those who love to read. Thank You to everyone who made sure we had the best time and experience ever. It was such a vibe!!!!!! On top of that, they came in clutch because the venue I previously booked for this surprise birthday party had to cancel 2 days before my event due to failing an inspection.
