MetraMarket — clean, consistent bar & grill in West Loop. Order the empanadas place. Expect noise, energy, and a full house.

“Again, it's handy because the market is close to Union station and work offices, but for the quality, please go somewhere else”
Had the grilled cheese and tomato soup at Clinton st. Smoked meats and it was terrible.

“This place is a beautiful treasure in the West loop.”
This place is a beautiful treasure in the West loop. They have a city market which offers an array of just about anything you need... from vegetables, fruits and staples to prepared foods, drinks and so much more. Inside the market there are a number of counter foods which vary in ethnic offerings. It's hard to choose just one. It's worth a trip just to taste the amazing food at The Lunch Box. They have an area where you can bring your food, socialize and enjoy the atmosphere.

“Saigon Sisters are the best.”
Saigon Sisters are the best. Banh mi was hot and delicious. Order the pork one (forgot what its called :)) so sad that few shops were closed because it was the end of the year. My friend had Donut and she said it was the best she ever had. I wish I could live in this market

“It's convenient, two blocks away from my place.”
It's convenient, two blocks away from my place. You get a lot of choices here from asian, american, Italian, and so on. There is a sushi bar here also but I haven't tried. The foods are pricy compared to the quality and dish portion. You can also buy fruit, get your nails done, and enjoy a milk tea here. Again, it's handy because the market is close to Union station and work offices, but for the quality, please go somewhere else. One more thing, you clothes will have the food/oil smell when you come here

“It's "French" market that ironically embodies the modern France - precense of foreign culture...”
It's "French" market that ironically embodies the modern France - precense of foreign culture dominates more than things that what people traditionally perceived as French. There's only one store that serves French food and another store that sells cheese and wine. All other stores are varieties of international food like sushi, Korean, chinese, Mexican, Thai, Vietnamese, Belgian, Kenyan, American Vegan, etc. It's fun place to visit but come with reasonable expectation or else you'll be disappointed.

“Had the grilled cheese and tomato soup at Clinton st.”
Had the grilled cheese and tomato soup at Clinton st. Smoked meats and it was terrible. Terrible value, barely any cheese on the grilled cheese. No cheese pull. The bread did have some seasoning on it, which spared them a 1 star review. The soup was a can of crushed tomatoes with a sprinkle of Italian seasoning. No depth of flavor. I don't see how I can give this place another chance with those prices either.

“The offerings here change fairly regularly and they have been able to expand what they offer over time.”
The offerings here change fairly regularly and they have been able to expand what they offer over time. I was very pleased to see them offering Joy Milk Tea, a disvovery from the Wicker Park Farmer's market this past summer, with bothe dairy-free and dairy options available for purchase. Scored a great deal on blueberries and mini cucumbers for future lunches as well. I always like to check in here to see ehat new things they have added

A very spacious, inviting atmosphere with a wide variety of cuisine prepared fresh on a daily basis. Within walking distance to numerous shops and in the job epicenter. Busy, bustling environment with a variety of activities to participate in. A wonderful way to spend the day.

“So many options of food.”
So many options of food. Personally, I would go with the miso bowl or Belgium fries. They have a sushi spot that looks delicious but I have yet to try. Donuts and crepes are lovely. Smoothies, fresh juices and teas are flavorful. The markets are great!!!

“If you like sushi, check out the Poke.”
If you like sushi, check out the Poke. Get the volcano with brown rice, ahi tuna all fresh, ginger, edamame, jalapenos (which I do not get), fresh seaweed and a rockin hot sauce. It's like having spicy tuna roll in a bowl. Amazing! there are also many other delicious vendors in there but I'm stuck on poke right now. You might want to check out the cheese shop two.
