“First time at their "new" location. Sandwich was as great as it was 40 years ago. 10" Wiseguy and a canoli!”

“One of the best subs 😁. I reviewed it for my YouTube channel (Mailman Nick) and Tik Tok @NickVenti”

“THE BEST TO EVER DO IT! I Wanted A Great Sandwich & I Always Order At Fontano's! Never A Wrong Or Missed Note! Everything Is Always Fresh With Excellent Quality Of Meat & Portion Size! EXCELLENT JOB GUYS!”

“Turkey sandwich on my first visit. They are not skimpy on the deli meats, you will be satisfied with the quality and amount. Add the vinegar and oil, it’s definitely a plus. Will be back for the meatball sub.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fontano Subs – A True Italian Gem Stopped by Fontano Subs and tried the Wiseguy — absolutely amazing! Everything tasted incredibly fresh — the bread was perfectly crusty on the outside and soft inside, and the meats and toppings were full of flavor. You can tell they use high-quality, fresh ingredients and really care about what they serve. The place has that classic, traditional Italian sub shop vibe — simple, cozy, and full of character. The staff was friendly and quick, and the whole experience felt authentic from start to finish. If you’re craving a real Italian-style sandwich made right, Fontano Subs is a must-visit. Highly recommended!”

“Came in on a Saturday and ordered the Italian beef with a bag of chips. The sandwich had good flavor and was just what I needed. The place felt simple and laid back, which I liked. It had that classic deli feel without trying too hard. I’d come back for lunch again.”

“I came here to order and pick up a sub right before going to O’Hare I had a footlong italian sub in two sittings, but it was was really good The shop is clean It isn’t one I would go out of my way for, but it is a sandwich shop I would return to if I were in the area”

“Got a 12 inch sub. It was a good quality sandwich. I got the American with everything on it. Changed the cheese for provolone. Overall 10/10 sandwich for the size and freshness of the bread was refreshing. Place is like a tiny store with drinks, chips and other stuff. Location has tables inside to sit and enjoy. Date: unknown Price: 10-30$ Food: the make pretty good sandwiches. The options for how to make your sandwich are very diverse. Not only that they’re totally worth it with having large sandwiches that can make you full. They do not skimp out on loading the sandwich. Which is really good! The bread is fresh and really compliments the sandwich. (One little thing was the juice was coming out of the sandwich from all the toppings, so it was a messy but the taste was great!) Service: usually not too busy when I’ve gone. Register and service for sandwich is quick and easy. **may provide discounts Atmosphere: it is a tiny spot, but I don’t notice that much traffic so it isn’t really that much of an issue. Tables are spread out pretty good so that you have space to eat if you choose to eat inside. However I would agree that taking out to go would be the best option. Also no restroom. The cleanness of the location is decent. Very causal. Summary: 12/15 —> 4/5 Final verdict: I would come again! (Would have given 5/5 but I have to be honest)”

“An absolute mess to eat but the flavors and freshness made up for it.”

“Got the 10" turkey with pickles and oil. Really yummy sub and quickly made. The chips avaliable are good as well. I will definitely be back. You can also get a sub punch card. 20 subs get 1 free. With that being said the subs are a bit pricey but when in Rome or chicago you pay a bit extra for good quality.”

“They need to invest in a grill press to warm the subs! Not everyone wants a cold sub. I do like that they stuff their subs well like a lot of people commented in the reviews they are not skimpy and they load it up however they don't have many options for the bread. They only have white French bread, rye, and wheat. However, when I went around 4/5pm they said they didn't have wheat. What kind of deli runs out of bread!!?? Weird. Not everyone wants white processed bread which by the way had no taste and was very plain. They should also consider that not everyone can tolerate it if they have gut sensitivities. They need to be better stocked. Also, with the amount of customers that they get you would think they can afford to invest in one press so that way they're able to warm up the sandwiches/subs. The other delis in the area have a warm panini bread press and I think that they should also have one too. Not everyone wants a cold sub all the time sometimes it's nice to have a warm sandwich. In terms of customer service they are polite but the service could be improved. They also didn't have any of the punch cards available so you can get rewarded for buying subs here. When I asked the cashier he said they ran out and he didnt offer to stamp something else in place of it so my purchase could count especially since I bought two subs. Bummer. Lastly, I wish they offered more options for toppings like avocado. I had to add some at home. FYI, for extra bacon 75 cents. Overall their subs are mid. Hard to find parking.”
