“We visited Lola Adang Kusina during our trip to Chicago for my son’s boot camp graduation, and it was such a comforting and satisfying experience. The restaurant has a limited number of dishes displayed, but every single one is classic Filipino home-style food—simple, authentic, and truly delicious. My daughters and I really enjoyed our lunch. The flavors reminded us of home, and the portions were worth the price. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel like family. They even gave us extra pansit (noodles) as a freebie, which was such a thoughtful gesture and definitely appreciated. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience—great food, kind people, and a taste of home away from home. Highly recommended!”

“We’re visiting from California and found this gem. I tell you, my family can’t stop saying “Ang sarap!” Like for real!! Plus owners and crew were so friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend!”

“So damn good. They cook in the morning and close when everything is sold out. There is no menu. I loved everything about it. $15 for three entrees with white rice. Amazingly friendly family run restaurant. Definitely coming back soon.”

“My coworker and I got to check out Lola Adang’s Kusina. So, let me get into it! The food was very good. When we see that LAK was a small family owned business we did figure that the food was going to be good. The quality was spot on and the portion sizing was amazing. I really like the teriyaki chicken the faller was out of this world! The service was good too. Everyone was very friendly to my friend and I. The atmosphere was okay. I wish there was some kind of music playing since it was sorry silent. Overall, I would say if you want amazing food for the price Lola Adang’s Kusina is the place to Check Out!”
“This place has very delicious lumpia! I tried some of the kaldereta, very tasty! Very fluffy rice! I look forward to trying more food. Come early, food sells out quick here! And it seems its family ran which i love. The people here are very welcoming.”
